For Pastor appreciation month, let’s all pray for our pastors!

Pray for your leaders.

This evening, we had the opportunity to gather around Major Carlyle and pray over him, his family, his ministry, and his calling.

Our leaders carry more than we often see, and we need to remember that they are under spiritual attack just like the rest of us. As soldiers, we shouldn’t just serve alongside our leaders, we should stand behind them, encourage them, support them, and most importantly, pray for them.

I’m thankful for a Corps where we can come together like this and lift one another up in prayer.

“Brothers and sisters, pray for us.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:25

Let’s never underestimate what God can do when His people pray for one another.

Ten years after Call to Action #48, how far have we come? On March 30, 2016, The Salvation Army joined other faith communities on Parliament Hill in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) Call to Action #48. Now, a decade later, ...

For those who were not present at this past Sunday Worship Service, we wanted to share that for the foreseeable future, Oakville Community Church will be joining Burlington Community Church for Sunday morning worship, starting Sunday, October 4, 2026.

We are taking this step to support one another as the Burlington Corps mourns the loss of Major David McNeilly, and as our Oakville Corps continues to operate without a permanent Sunday worship location.

Please note that this is not a merger of the two Corps, but rather a shared location for both congregations to gather for Sunday worship.

Service Details:
• Time: Sundays at 10:30 a.m.
• Location: Burlington Community Church, 2090 Prospect Street, Burlington

We ask that you keep both of our Corps in your prayers during this transition, and in particular for Major April and family in their time of grief. We remain confident that God has gone before us and will continue to guide our shared ministry and Kingdom work in the days ahead.

For His Kingdom,

Captains Matt and Lynnette Trottier
