The Oakville Rangers are proud to name Todd Rombough as the recipient of the 25/26 Mary Card Community Hero Award.

This award recognizes a volunteer who best exemplifies selflessness, dedication, and team spirit within the Rangers House League community.

For decades, Todd has been a familiar face around Oakville rinks—serving as a coach, convenor, referee, equipment manager, and even our beloved Ranger Bear. Whether he’s fitting goalies, helping new hockey families, or stepping in wherever needed, Todd consistently goes above and beyond for our players and community.

Volunteers like Todd are the heart of the Oakville Rangers, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he does.

Congratulations, Todd, and thank you for your outstanding service to hockey in Oakville! 🏒👏

The Oakville Rangers Hockey Club is heartbroken by the tragic loss of Coach Marc Pinizzotto.

Today, our organization mourns the loss of a remarkable man who meant so much to so many. Marc was a beloved coach, mentor, friend, and role model whose impact reached far beyond the game of hockey.

For the young athletes he coached, Marc was someone they looked up to, trusted, and learned from. He cared deeply about every player. He invested his time, shared his knowledge, and led with kindness, patience, and integrity. The lessons he taught and the example he set will remain with his players for the rest of their lives.

Marc dedicated his life to serving others. As a Toronto Police Service officer for 18 years and a member of the Emergency Task Force, he served his community with extraordinary courage. Those same qualities defined him within the Rangers family.

The loss of Marc leaves a void that cannot be filled. Our hearts are with his family, friends, colleagues, players, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. We grieve alongside them and extend our deepest condolences to everyone affected.

Marc's legacy will live on in the countless young lives he helped shape, the relationships he built, and the example he set every day. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered as an important part of the Oakville Rangers family.

We ask that the privacy of Marc's family and our hockey community be respected as we mourn this devastating loss.

Happy Mother’s Day to the moms who pack the bags, tie the skates, fill the water bottles, find the missing gloves, drive across town before sunrise, cheer from the stands, and make hockey possible.

Today, we celebrate the Oakville Rangers moms who are always there, on and off the ice.

Thank you for everything you do.

The Oakville Rangers, in partnership with the Oakville Hornets, are proud to co-host a Hockey Equipment Drive in support of Their Opportunity’s Indigenous Hockey Equipment Drive (IHED).

Since 2014, IHED has collected and distributed 6,000+ bags of equipment to Indigenous communities across Canada — helping make the game more accessible for youth across the country.

Let’s come together as a hockey community and make their first equipment drive in Oakville a huge success.
