For many women leaving violence can mean navigating unfamiliar court processes, legal resources, safety concerns and making tough decisions about their families. Through Light the Path, we celebrate survivors who are in the process of rebuilding. But celebrating survivors means more than telling them how strong they are, we believe it means making the path ahead clearer with the right support and not having to navigate complicated systems alone.

Through our Family Court Support Program, women can access guidance, information, practical support and someone to help them with what comes next.

Leaving abuse is the beginning of a new life, but rebuilding a life after violence is rarely simple. There are difficult questions, unfamiliar systems, financial uncertainty, court dates and paperwork that can shape what comes next for a woman and her children. Through Light the Path, your donation helps us continue providing Family Court Support and other essential services to women across Halton.

We celebrate survivors every day for persisting despite any odds and for everything they are working to rebuild. And how do we do that? By making sure support is there when she is ready to take the next step 💜
