GREAT NEWS!! Captain Pete Seafood returns this Saturday to the North Saanich Farm Market. If you’re looking for barbeque ideas for Father’s Day this weekend, Pete will have sockeye salmon sides and pieces, prawns, lingcod, salmon, burgers, crab and bacon wrapped salmon.

We have a lovely market planned for this Saturday. Great weather, live music, fresh seasonal produce, delicious baking and very talented artisans. A playground for the kids, Beyond the Curb recycling option, and the Vancouver Island Regional Library in attendance in our Learning Tent. Spend the morning with us and your community. 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Harvest Hub Building Takes Shape

Construction of the Harvest Hub continues to move forward on schedule. The facility's framing is now complete, and crews have begun installing plumbing and electrical systems.

As part of the next phase of the project, staff presented an update to the Agricultural Advisory Committee on June 10 and requested feedback on the process of identifying an external operator to run the Harvest Hub when it is completed.

Staff will review feedback from the Agricultural Advisory Committee and the Harvest Hub Working Group before bringing recommendations to Council on June 29.

The North Saanich Farm Market is participating in the coupon nutrition program this season.

🎉 Celebrating 15 Seasons of Nourishing Communities! 🎉

This year marks the 15th season of the BC Farmers Market Nutrition Coupon Program, and we're excited to continue connecting lower-income British Columbians with fresh, local food at farmers markets across the province.

For 15 years, the program has helped strengthen food access, support local farmers, and build healthier, more connected communities. We're grateful to the BC Ministry of Health for their continued investment in this work and for making another season of the program possible.

Participants can redeem their coupons at any participating BCAFM farmers market from now until December 20, or until their local market season ends.
