Join Zoe and Teale this Thursday, June 18, from 5pm - 7pm to learn all about soil health and how to make compost tea!

Once a month from May to September we offer a gardening class to the public. It’s a great opportunity to engage with other gardeners onsite and learn with our staff!

Join herbalist and farmer Stacey McTaggart of Heartridge Farm for a hands-on workshop at the Sandown Centre for Regenerative Agriculture.
Learn:
🌱 Where to source quality medicinal herb seeds
📚 Books, resources, and local learning opportunities
🛠️ Cost-effective tools for growing and processing herbs
🌿 Seed starting, companion planting, and harvesting techniques
🍵 How to make teas, tinctures, glycerites, oxymels, infused oils, and more
We’ll also tour Stacey’s medicinal herb garden and enjoy live harvesting demonstrations. Participants will take home a selection of freshly harvested herbs from the garden.
🎟️ Sliding-scale tickets: $0, $10, or $20

Interested in picking up produce for the remainder of the season? Send us an email or come to our Wednesday co-op style markets starting June 10th!
What is the Learning Farm? This is where we grow produce for food banks, school meal programs, direct to consumers, and where we host events and volunteers. It’s just the second year in production after being founded in 2025. We are super lucky to have a great team running the show this year!

The Sandown Market is back! Starting on Wednesday, June 10th, join us weekly from 3:30 - 5:30 to support the 10 Sandown farmers and our non-profit in a Co-Op style market. What does that look like? One consolidated table, one cash point, multiple suppliers! Produce will change weekly depending on which farmers participate and what they have available. You can also learn about our programs or take a stroll through the gardens. We look forward to seeing you there! 🥦🥕🍠

Did you know you can sign up for individual classes in our Home Gardener Course? Next Thursday, May 21st, from 5pm - 7pm is the first session! Join us for a site tour, intro to vegetables, garden design, and seed starting. Handouts and hands on activities in our raised Teaching Garden are included. This class is offered at a sliding scale from $25-$75. We hope to see you sign up by going to the link in the photo or hitting the link in bio! 🌞
