Kirkfield Food Hamper Program

If you are unable to attend a food bank but are in need of food support, please join us. Register for the new monthly hamper program and receive seven days’ worth of non-perishable food items.

Join us for an afternoon of local stories, history, and community connection — all while helping support neighbours in need. ❤️

The Shedden and Area Historical Society presents *Coboconk’s Legends & Lore* on Saturday, May 30th at Christ Church Anglican in Coboconk. Admission is by non-perishable food donation in support of the Coboconk & Area Food Bank.

🚶 Downtown walking tour begins at 1:30pm

📢 Reminder – Kirkfield Hamper Program Starts Tomorrow! 📢

If you are unable to attend a food bank but are in need of food support, please join us tomorrow at the Lions Club in Kirkfield to register for the new monthly hamper program.

Participants will receive a monthly hamper of non-perishable food items to help support individuals and families in our community.

Hunger Relief Available in Kirkfield

The Kawartha Lakes Food Source, in conjunction with three of its member food banks, is working to alleviate hunger in the Kirkfield Area.

The Coboconk & Area Food bank, The Salvation Army Fenelon Falls Food Bank and Woodville Eldon Food Bank are setting up a hamper program in the Kirkfield area for those households who are unable to access a food bank due to transportation or other prohibiting factors.

People in the Kirkfield area who currently are UNABLE to access a food bank in the Kawartha Lakes area and who are experiencing food insecurity, can sign up to receive a food hamper once each month. Hampers will be available for pick up at Kirkfield Lions Club, 973 Portage Road on the second Tuesday of each month from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Food hampers will contain 7 days’ worth of non-perishables including protein, vegetables, soups, and pasta.

IF YOU ARE ABLE TO ATTEND A FOOD BANK, PLEASE CONTINUE TO DO SO, as perishables such as milk, eggs, fresh produce, frozen meats etc. are available on a regular basis.

Food Bank Hours and Operations

The Coboconk & Area Food bank
Two Thursdays each month from 10am-12pm

Woodville Eldon Food Bank:
2nd and 4th Thursday each month from 10am-12pm

The Salvation Army Fenelon Falls Food Bank
Every Monday and Wednesday from 10am- 3pm

You can only access Food Bank services every 2 weeks.

The first Hamper Delivery is
Tuesday, May 12th at Kirkfield Lions Club 10:00am – 12:00pm.

Please call Coboconk & Area Food Bank at (249) 332-2000 or email [email protected] SUBJECT LINE: KIRKFIELD HAMPER. We can help to get you registered. You will need to provide identification with proof of address, income, and some expenses on your first visit.

We are incredibly grateful to Coboconk Foodland and their amazing customers for their generosity and continued support of the Coboconk & Area Food Bank. 💛

Thanks to donations collected at the store, nearly $2,500 has been raised to help us support local families and keep our shelves stocked for those who need it most.
