Heritage New West

Heritage New West Heritage New West supports the conservation of heritage homes, buildings and structures within the City of New Westminster.

The New West Heritage Preservation Society is one of the largest and most active local heritage groups in British Columbia. The society enthusiastically advocates and supports restoration, and actively promotes community appreciation of New Westminster's history. For over 40 years, the society has striven to identify and preserve sites, buildings, neighborhoods, houses and vegetation which are imp

ortant to the community's heritage. In addition, the society is recognized as the voice of heritage by local media and often appears before the municipal government on heritage matters.

Forty-four years and counting with this grand dame! Irving House has been part of every Heritage Homes Tour since the beginning, and it just wouldn't be the same without it. Thank you to the dedicated staff and volunteers who continue to bring its stories to life for visitors year after year.

We are getting excited to host Heritage BC's 45th Anniversary Celebration and presenting this year's Heritage Awards. Held in the dramatic setting of Mill No. 3 at the Britannia Mine Museum, this special evening honours the people, projects, and places making a difference in heritage conservation across British Columbia.

We look forward to connecting with colleagues, raising a glass to 45 years of heritage work, and celebrating the outstanding contributions of this year's award recipients.
Note for attendees: Please dress warmly, as Mill No. 3 can be very cool in the evening. Light food and refreshments (cash bar) will be served, so be sure to arrive on time.
