🤝 **June is Rotary Fellowships Month** 🤝

One of the greatest benefits of Rotary isn't just the projects we support or the communities we serve, it's the friendships we build along the way.

Rotary Fellowships Month celebrates the connections that bring people together through shared interests, experiences, and a common desire to make a difference. Whether it's serving at community events, supporting local causes, or simply enjoying good company at our weekly meetings, Rotary creates opportunities for friendships that often last a lifetime.

In a world where genuine connection can sometimes feel harder to find, Rotary offers a place where people come together with purpose, friendship, and a shared commitment to service.

Here's to the friendships, laughter, teamwork, and connections that make Rotary so special. 💙

920 natives in the ground is something to be very proud of. Fantastic to see young people learning about conservation, farming, and protecting our waterways while making a real difference in the community. Well done to everyone involved 👏

From fear of heights to a major leadership high! 🙌

Last week, Rotary Rotorua North welcomed our RYLA candidate, Lucca Wilson, who shared his experience at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards programme.

RYLA helps young people build confidence, self-leadership, teamwork, and the ability to lead others.

Lucca was hugely grateful for the opportunity, thanking the club “massively.” Despite work challenges and now being based in Ōpōtiki, he made the effort to come back and share how much the programme meant to him.

A standout moment was tackling the High Ropes course despite a serious fear of heights, supported by his team and proud of the growth he experienced.

His message was clear: he can’t recommend RYLA enough.

Well done, Lucca. We’re proud to support your leadership journey. 👏

🥫❤️ ROTARY “CANS FOR A CAUSE” 2026 ❤️🥫

Thousands of Kiwi families rely on food banks every year - and together, we can help make a real difference right here in our communities. 🇳🇿

From 1st–8th June 2026, Rotary clubs across New Zealand are coming together to collect as many canned food items as possible for those doing it tough this winter.

We’re encouraging everyone to bring along a can or two to Rotary meetings and collection points during Donation Week. Every contribution counts, no matter how big or small. 💙💛

Items most needed:
🥫 Hearty soups &🥫 Canned vegetables
🥫 Tuna &🥫 chicken
🥫 Spaghetti &🥫 Pasta sauce
🥫 Beans & 🥫Canned fruit
🥫 Stews

A simple can of food could help feed a family in need this winter.

Let’s show the power of community, kindness, and Rotary in action. 💛

What if one evening a week could help change lives in Rotorua? 🌏❤️

While most people are switching off on a Wednesday night, Rotary Rotorua North members are coming together to plan projects, support local causes, back youth initiatives, and find practical ways to make a real difference in our community.

From community events and fundraising to supporting local people and organisations, Rotary is about ordinary people doing meaningful things together.

You don’t need to be “retired,” highly connected, or know everything about Rotary to come along. We welcome people from all walks of life, business owners, professionals, tradies, parents, creatives, community-minded locals, and anyone who wants to contribute to something positive.

If you’ve ever wanted to:
✔ Meet good people
✔ Give back locally
✔ Be involved in meaningful projects
✔ Make genuine community connections
✔ Be part of something bigger than yourself

…this could be the place for you.
