Health Van with Purpose The Health Van With Purpose is a mobile harm reduction van which is operated by a team of four incredibly dedicated Outreach Workers.

We serve Burnaby, New Westminster, Tri-Cities, Pitt Meadows & Maple Ridge. Funded by Fraser Health Authority. Call or text your address/location if you need supplies delivered. We will also safely collect and dispose of your used needles. We conduct a minimum of 21 needle sweeps per week on city streets, alleys, parking lots and parks. If you spot a needle out in the community, don’t panic. Text 6

04-351-1885 the nearest address to where the needle was found, along with a picture of the site and we will safely collect and dispose of the needle. In December 2020, The Health Van with Purpose safely disposed of a whopping 25,197 used needles.

Well this is the final week that our beloved Harm Reduction Program Coordinator, Kristina Selby-Brown is working with us at Purpose Society.

We want to thank her for her amazing contribution to life saving Harm Reduction services since 2020, which started right smack-dab in the midst of a Pandemic. With her “can-do” attitude and professional skill set, she has helped people who use drugs in our communities navigate a toxic drug supply.

Thank you so much Kristina! She is embarking on a new career path in the health and wellness industry.
