Eastern Shore Forest Watch Association

Eastern Shore Forest Watch Association A community-based organization dedicated to conservation, education, and advocacy.

The Eastern Shore Forest Watch Association was founded in 1998 by a group of concerned citizens who support a vision of sustainable forest practices. We address local environmental issues as they emerge, with science, creativity, and a passion for the Earth. Members include established Eastern Shore families and new residents, woodlot owners, foresters, business owners and professionals, teenagers and octogenarians, all deeply concerned about the health and future of our forests and wild lands.

The EAC is calling on the federal government to proceed with a full federal environmental impact assessment of the proposed plants, as we believe the provincial assessment process has failed to account for the many risks this project poses.
