We're excited to offer a variety of FREE summer outreach programs for children and youth this July and August through The Salvation Army Community & Family Services in Moncton!

🎸 No Fret Guitar Camp - Limited Spaces Left!
Grades 3+ | Thursdays 1:30 - 4:00, 8 weeks July + August
Learn to play guitar, use a provided instrument, and showcase your new skills at our end-of-summer recital!

👩‍🍳 Kids in the Kitchen - Limited Spaces Left!
Ages 7–12 | Wednesdays 1:30 - 4:00, 8 weeks July + August
A fun, hands-on cooking club where kids can build confidence, learn new skills, and create delicious recipes.

🌎 Rooted & Rising
Ages 13–18 | Selected Mondays 1:00 - 4:00, 4 sessions: Jul 13 & 20, Aug 10 & 17
Support, friendship, and social skills development for youth who are new to Moncton or adapting to life in a new community.

🌳 Park Pals
Friday Mornings | Lewis Street Park 9:30 - 12:00noon, 8 weeks
Positive play, mentorship, games, and activities that help children learn, grow, and build healthy relationships.

📍 Programs take place throughout July and August.

🌱✨ Celebrating Rooted & Rising! ✨🌱

We recently concluded the first four sessions of Rooted & Rising, and we couldn't be more proud of the incredible young people who participated. Participants have come together to build meaningful connections, develop important life skills, and grow in confidence as they navigate life in a new community.

Some very meaningful moments came as participants shared pieces of their own journeys—the challenges they've faced, the strengths they've discovered, and the hopes they carry for the future, demonstrating courage, resilience, and growth.

Today, we celebrate their hard work, the big steps they've taken, and the bright futures ahead of them. Thank you to our partners at YFC Moncton and to everyone who helped make this program possible.

Today we celebrated someone who has meant so much more to us than his title could ever describe. Dwight, your servant heart, kindness, dedication, and willingness to always help others have made such a lasting impact on our team. You have been a truly valued part of our workplace and will be missed by so many.

While we are sad to see you go, we are also excited for you as you begin this new chapter of retirement — enjoying more time with family, hobbies, and all the moments you deserve to enjoy. It was wonderful to celebrate with you and Cathy today.
