👏 Incredible work by a vigilant citizen who spoke up and requested a wellness check — that call saved a woman’s life.
Deep gratitude to the Codiac Regional Royal Canadian Mounted Police 🚔 for responding quickly and getting this woman out of a trafficking situation. Your actions made a life‑changing difference today.
Community awareness and courage truly save lives. 💛✨

The Codiac Regional RCMP recently recognized a local resident who contacted police to request a wellness check on a young female at a residence in Moncton.

Upon attending the scene, officers determined that the individual had previously been reported missing. Further investigation revealed that she had been brought to the area and was a victim of human trafficking and police were able to ensure her safety.

Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicious activity to their local police service, a simple call might help to stop, solve, and prevent crimes.

Anyone who observes something concerning is urged to come forward, as timely information can play a critical role in protecting vulnerable individuals and preventing crime. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through N.B. Crime Stopper.

📅 Did you know that July 30th is International Anti‑Human Trafficking Day.

Human trafficking is happening here in New Brunswick, often hidden in plain sight.
Would you recognize the signs if someone you knew was being trafficked.
Traffickers rarely begin with violence. They start with grooming — learning a woman’s hopes, dreams, fears, and vulnerabilities. They use those very things to build trust, create dependence, and slowly isolate her from the people who care about her. What begins as attention or affection becomes control.
🛑 Awareness saves lives.
Knowing the signs can help protect someone who may not realize they’re being targeted.

A huge thank‑you to our incredible sponsors who helped make our Hope Runs On fundraiser such a success! 💛🏃‍♀️✨

Because of the generosity of these businesses—and every person who fundraised, donated, and showed up on event day—we raised an amazing $7,700 to support survivors in our community.
These funds go directly toward keeping our drop‑in center open and welcoming, providing hot meals, warm showers, essential resources, and trauma‑informed support for those walking through some of the hardest chapters of their lives. 🌱💙

Thank you for running with us, standing with us, and helping hope keep moving forward.

🌿 Weekly Flyer Picks — Healthy Choices for Prevention 🌿

These are our staff‑selected picks from this week’s flyers — simple, healthy, affordable food choices that strengthen individuals and families in our community.
Healthy eating isn’t just about nutrition. It reduces the pressure points that traffickers and exploiters often prey on — things like food insecurity, financial stress, and lack of stability.

🛒💚 Each highlighted item supports:
- Better daily nourishment
- More stability for vulnerable individuals
- Reduced financial strain
- Stronger protective factors against s*xual exploitation and trafficking

Every healthy, affordable choice is a step toward prevention and dignity.
Thank you for helping build a safer, more resilient New Brunswick. 🌱💛

🌿✨ Creating Peaceful Moments at Our Drop‑In Center 🌿✨

A guest we haven’t seen in a long time walked into our drop‑in center this week and said, “This place feels different.” She felt the peace in the room right away and told us she’ll be back. 🌿

Last week, another woman arrived pale and withdrawn. After a warm shower and some quiet time, she began to brighten and talk again. 💛🚿

These small moments are the intervention we strive for — a peaceful space where women affected by s*xual exploitation feel safe, seen, and supported. ✨

What an honour it was a couple weekends ago for Community of Hope NB to be invited to the Atlantic Baptist Women Intermission Conference 🙏💛

Elaine had the opportunity to lead a workshop on s*x trafficking in New Brunswick 🕊️✨ The room was filled with thoughtful questions, meaningful conversations, and new connections 🤝💬

A heartfelt thank you to the Atlantic Baptist Women for inviting us to speak and for creating space for this important conversation. Your openness and engagement help build a more aware, equipped, and compassionate community 🌱💡💛

🧼 Our drop‑in center is in need — maybe some of you can help.

We are getting very low on several desperately needed cleaning supplies that help us keep our drop-in center safe, welcoming, and ready for the guests who rely on us every day.
🧼 Here’s what we’re needing most right now:
- Gloves (medium & large)
- Hand sanitizer
- Dawn dishwashing liquid
- Lysol scrub with bleach (any brand, but must contain bleach)
- Lysol disinfectant spray

If you're able to donate any of these items, please email [email protected]
to make drop‑off arrangements.

Thank you for helping us care for our space and the women who walk through our doors. 💛
