105 Gibson Centre is the operating unit for Toronto Christian Community Church, and has been since 2013. We are a community care centre that services diverse clients and our community. Our Behavioral Services team, led by our Clinical Director who is a Registered Behaviour Analyst serves neurodivergent children, including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), in developing essential skills

that have the potential to improve clients’ quality of life, using Applied Behaviour Analysis across various settings. The whole project is operated and aligned with the Ontario Autism Program(OAP). The current project specifically targets social skills within group settings. Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) treatment is an evidence-based practice using the scientific principles of behaviour to treat behavioural needs in individuals with various developmental disabilities, most commonly, Autism Spectrum Disorder. ABA can be used to teach a variety of skills, including but not limited to, communication, social and play, functional living and adaptive, and academic skills, and reduction in challenging behaviour. Treatment is individualized to the specific strengths and needs of the client, and treatment decisions are based on ongoing data collection, analysis, and collaboration with the treatment team.
