My husband has leukemia.
The diagnosis seemed to come out of nowhere. As a super healthy 40-year old man who had zero symptoms of being sick, we couldn’t understand why this was happening.
The good news, is after dropping everything to take care of him and Tedy, the prognosis is good. We consulted with many doctors and his leukemia, although rare, is highly treatable. We’re hoping he’ll be in remission by the end of the year.
At first, we did not want to share this, but we’re hoping it raises awarness of the importance of getting regular blood screenings and other testing. It can mean the difference between life and death.
Thank you for your support during this time. It has actually been very helpful sharing with others as it reminds us we are not alone in this.
Let’s get ‘em!
Love, Dion ❤️
