Tag games are one of the most underrated warm-ups in football ⚽️

Instead of lines, laps and static stretches. Get them playing straight away.

Why tag games work so well 👇

• High engagement – everyone’s moving, no one standing around
• Natural changes of direction, acceleration, deceleration
• Decision making under pressure
• Loads of fun (which means buy-in from the first minute)

And the best bit?
They transfer straight into the game.

A simple tag game can link to football by:
• Taggers = defenders pressing
• Runners = attackers finding space
• Add a ball = dribbling away from pressure

Before you know it, you’re already working on:
Pressing, evading, scanning, movement and awareness.

No need for a formal warm-up.The game is the warm-up.

📖 I’ve collated 15 of the best tag games you can use as warm-ups, so you never need to plan a warm-up again. Download your copy in the comments

⚽ Being a parent and a coach isn’t easy.

You’re trying to support your child while also leading a team.

The best advice I received? Separate “parent mode” and “coach mode”

Your child needs a parent first, coach second.

🏟️On the pitch, treat them like everyone else
đźš— In the car or at home, be their biggest supporter

If you blur the two, they feel like they’re always being coached.

âš˝ Coaches who are also parents, what have you found helps?

HSLM invites you to participate in a Pet CPR Class, supported by Pet Valu’s Champions for Change Program. Join us on Saturday, September 19th from 9:30AM – 12:30PM for a hands-on training CPR training session taught by LMac Community CPR, a Red Cross Training Partner. Participants will learn and gain hands-on experience with pet CPR, rescue breathing, and how to help a choking pet. The class will also cover normal breathing rates, signs of dehydration, body temperatures, heart rates, pulses, and how to check your pet’s mucous membranes. Breed-specific information, wound and bleeding management, and more will also be covered.

This class can be used toward a full certification if participants choose to complete the additional one-hour online learning component. This session is a great opportunity for pet owners to gain the knowledge and confidence to respond in an emergency.
