π Welcome to Teeny Snoots, Stewie π This little girl was born and raised in a mechanic shop and was days away from being released. Luckily (I never thought I'd say this), my car was acting funny and I just happened to take it to the shop she was at to have it looked at. Stewie has been with people, fed and housed, since she could walk. Last December, when she was a teeny puff ball, she approached the staff at the mechanic to ask for help. She was weak, cold and struggling. They scooped her up, put her in a tank with a bed and her own little ATV, sat with her to keep her company and fed her peanuts and yogurt granola bars for almost a year. When I saw her yesterday, she was days away from being released into the wild. Little Stewie wouldn't have made it a week in the wild, especially with the cold nights we've been having. She's never found food on her own. She went from nursing and learning from mom to asking people for help. So, she is now part of the Teeny Snoots family. She is currently settling into her new enclosure with tons of bedding to tunnel into, orchard grass and tissue to nest in, and proper mouse food. When she's settled in, she will be moved into her extra large enclosure where she can live out her days. She already seems to love the comfort of grass and bedding! We would love to introduce her to mouse friends but, unfortunately, she can't be placed with fancy mice, so we are eagerly searching for ASFs in southern Ontario needing a home! If you know of ASFs needing a home, loop us in!
Welcome, teeny Stewie π©·
