🐾 PAACT's Care Closet – Looking for a Larger Space! 🐾

PAACT's Care Closet has officially outgrown its current home, and we are searching for a larger space to continue serving pets and families in our community.

What we are looking for:
🐾 Approximately 300 sq. ft. of space (or larger)
🐾 Climate-controlled
🐾 Secure and lockable
🐾 Accessible for volunteers
🐾 Suitable for storing pet food and pet supplies
🐾 Preferably located on the north side or downtown Lethbridge

Since launching in 2025, PAACT's Care Closet has helped more than 400 animals and the people who love them. Thanks to the generosity of our community, this program continues to grow each year.

The Care Closet provides free pet food, bedding, crates, collars, leashes, litter, toys, and other essential supplies to help families keep their beloved pets at home during times of financial hardship, illness, emergencies, and other life challenges.

As a completely volunteer-run nonprofit, every dollar we receive goes directly back into supporting pets and their people. Unfortunately, the cost of renting commercial space is currently beyond our budget, which is why we are hoping to find a community partner willing to help.

A larger space would allow us to accept more donations, support more families, help prevent pet surrenders, reduce strain on local shelters, and create an even greater imPAACT in our community.

If you have a space available, know of a business willing to partner with us, or have any leads we should explore, please send us a message or email us at [email protected]

If you can't help directly, sharing this post would mean the world to us.

Thank you for helping us keep pets where they belong—safe, loved, and at home. ❤️

After the fireworks fade and the celebrations are over, your empty bottles and cans can help keep pets fed, families together, and animals out of shelters.

For many families, a pet is more than just an animal—they Are family. Through PAACT's community initiatives, we help pet owners facing financial hardship, crisis, or unexpected challenges access the resources they need to keep their pets safe, healthy, and at home.

This summer, you can help simply by donating your refundable bottles and cans!

♻️ PAACT’s Summer Bottle Drive:
📅 Tuesday, July 7, 2026

Every bag helps!

What may seem like a few empty bottles could mean a full food bowl, a warm bed, or one less family forced to choose between caring for themselves and caring for their pet. Whether you have one bag or a garage full of bottles, your donation creates an imPAACT right here in our community!

🐾 Rowan Has Officially Been Adopted! 🐾

We are thrilled to share that Rowan has found his forever home!

Even more special, Rowan has been adopted by one of PAACT’s incredible Core Volunteers, who was also the very first person to foster him when he entered our care. It feels like his journey has come full circle.

When Rowan came into PAACT's care, we arranged for him to be assessed by our veterinarian after concerns were raised. Based on the veterinary assessment, it appeared that Rowan had likely suffered a pelvic fracture at some point in his short life. Despite this difficult start, Rowan never let his past define him. His sweet personality, resilience, and affectionate nature quickly won over everyone who met him, proving that even after hardship, animals can continue to thrive when given the chance.

Over the past several months, Rowan has received the care, patience, and support he deserved while waiting for the perfect match. We could not be happier that the person who opened their home to him as a foster has now opened their heart to him forever.

Thank you to everyone who supported him throughout his journey. Stories like Rowan’s remind us that sometimes the best forever homes are found where a pet already feels safe, loved, and understood.

Here's to a lifetime of love, comfort, and happiness, Rowan. ❤️🐾

MEET KUJO
2-3 Years Old | Neutered | Vaccinated | American Staffordshire Terrier Mix

Kujo is a loyal, affectionate boy searching for the forever home he deserves.

After being rescued from a difficult situation, Kujo has spent the last several months learning what safety, stability, and routine look like. He has blossomed into a healthy, loving companion who forms deep bonds with his people and simply wants to be part of the family.

An active dog at heart, Kujo loves outdoor adventures and would thrive with someone who enjoys walking, hiking, running, or biking. Once he has had a chance to burn some energy, he is happiest relaxing nearby and keeping you company.

KUJO’s QUALITIES 💖
• Loyal and deeply devoted to his people
• Affectionate and people-oriented
• House-trained and crate-trained
• Smart, athletic, and eager to learn
• Enjoys outdoor adventures and exercise
• Has lived successfully around cats
• Thrives with structure, routine, and companionship

KUJO'S IDEAL HOME 🏠
Kujo would do best in a calm, stable home where he can continue building confidence. He may be happiest as the only dog or with one calm, balanced canine companion. Because of his past, Kujo experiences some separation anxiety and does best with people who have the time, patience, and consistency to help him feel secure. While he may bark when meeting new people, he warms up quickly once he knows he is safe.

LOOKING FOR A BEST FRIEND? 🐶
Kujo is not just looking for a home – he is looking for someone to share life's adventures with. In return, he will offer unwavering loyalty, companionship, and plenty of love.

No one should have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pet.

At PAACT, we understand that life can happen to anyone. Our Care Closet exists to help ensure that temporary challenges do not become permanent separations between pets and the people who love them.

Through the generosity of our community, the Care Closet provides FREE essential pet supplies to individuals and families experiencing financial difficulties. Available items may include pet food, specialty veterinary diets, cat litter, crates, kennels, bedding, bowls, leashes, collars, toys, and other pet care essentials, depending on current donations.

For many families, pets are more than companions—they are sources of comfort, stability, emotional support, and unconditional love. By helping provide the essentials, we can reduce stress, prevent unnecessary surrender, and help keep beloved pets safely at home where they belong.
