Providing palliative care & support, through the Doug & Fran MacDonald Langley Hospice Residence and our Supportive Program Centre in Langley.

Individual & group grief support programs for children, teens, & adults; education/advocacy & volunteer training In addition to palliative care and support for end-of-life patients through the Doug and Fran MacDonald Langley Hospice Residence and in the community, Langley Hospice Society provides much-needed, individual and group grief support programs, for children, teens, adults and families; education; advocacy; volunteer training; a resource library; kids connect and other art, recreation and play-based supports for grieving children and teens. Programs are FREE of charge. Langley Hospice also operates their Second Story Treasures Thrift Store in Walnut Grove, open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. The holiday season is quickly approaching, which can be accompanied by some complicated thoughts and emotions for those who are grieving.

Coping with Grief Through the Holidays is an interactive workshop our Langley Hospice Society's Adult Bereavement Team, hosts annually to provide information and support for those who are grieving, as they begin to navigate the often difficult holiday season.

as our community comes together for our Annual Walk to Remember - in honour of National Bereavement Day on Tuesday, November 17, 2026 at the Derek Doubleday Arboretum.

This past weekend, our Langley Hospice Society Community Engagement Team hosted our Annual Glass Half Full (GHF) Event in "the Hangar" at Harrison Pointe, who sponsors this event annually.

Our gratitude to Guest Speaker, Rob Chorney, who shared he and his families' experience, as they walked alongside their mother, throughout her time in the Doug and Fran MacDonald Langley Hospice Residence.

This year's GHF welcomed more than 120 guests onsite, who received a beautiful hand-crafted tumbler created by members of the Fraser Valley Potters Guild, and enjoyed a lovely array of wines, craft beers, and local distilled products, accompanied by hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chef Deniz and his culinary team, and live music with Alex Whittaker.

Our thanks to all of the amazing guests, donors, sponsors, volunteers and staff, who came together to raise more than $20,000.00 to help fund important palliative and bereavement care and support programs through our Doug and Fran MacDonald Langley Hospice Residence, and in the community.

Yesterday we had a full house for our Planning for the Future and Advance Care Planning Workshop in the beautiful new Langley Meals on Wheels community event space on the second floor.

co-hosted by Langley Hospice Society and Langley Community Health & Hospital Foundation to provide information about starting important conversations about medical and financial decisions as you plan for the future.
