Community Broom Cut.
May 3, Sunday. 2 pm – 4 pm. Lower Holland Creek.
Meet at the corner of King Rd and Roland Lane near the Estuary Trail head. We will start from Hwy 1A and work northwards. We will revisit the estuary area and area by the waterworks. This is the best opportunity for an easy to access area for newcomers to get orientation.

If you haven’t visited the Transfer Beach pollinator gardens, now’s a great time. We’re stewarding a meadow of 400+ native seedlings and bulbs planted in 2024. These demonstration beds highlight how home gardens can play a meaningful role in supporting the biodiversity of native meadow plants in our community.

Camas (speenhw) and spring gold are in bloom right now. If you’re feeling inspired, the species list and garden designs are available at https://friendsofhollandcreek.ca/ .

This Project has been supported by the Town of Ladysmith and BC Hydro.

If you couldn’t make it, don’t worry - the project (YESBioBlitz2026) is open until Monday morning, so get out on the trails and collect some observations.
