Developing World Connections works internationally, alongside local people, striving to improve lives and build sustainable futures. Our goal is to make our programs and experiences as meaningful as possible, for our teams of volunteers and the people benefitting, from cooperative effort. DWC initiates projects such as installing clean-burning eco-stoves in Guatemala or building schools in the barrios of Peru. The organization has no professional or religious affiliations.

Nepal is a hikers paradise! Many DWC volunteers take the opportunity to extend their travels beyond the volunteer project. Huge shout-out to Kamloops’ own Exceed Electrical Engineering Ltd. Thanks to their generous donation, we were able to drill a community-transforming borehole well in Naro Moru, Kenya. Completed in late 2025, this is the first time DWC has undertaken a well-drilling project. Our local contractors drilled 250m deep, installed a water pump, and constructed a solar panel system to power it. The system is pumping thousands of litres per minute when activated. This provides transformational opportunities for this small farming community.
