A new classroom. A place to play. A space for women to gather. Across three countries, our volunteers and local partners are helping bring projects shaped by their communities to life.

In rural Naro Moru, Kenya, 12 volunteers helped build a classroom where children will have more space to learn. In Peru, volunteers helped build a sports court for a school serving 300 students and 60 kindergarteners: a place for students to play, connect and make memories together.

The work is still underway in Nepal. Volunteers are on the ground building a women’s centre, and later on their trip, they’ll support families affected by the massive floods in August.

What if your next trip could become part of a story bigger than your own?

Step beyond the screen and into communities where your time, energy and willingness to help can make a meaningful difference. Registration is now open for volunteer trips in Spring 2027 created in partnership with local communities:

Cambodia: Help build a home that can float or rest on the riverbank, giving a family greater security as the seasons change.

Philippines: Help rebuild a local school where children can feel safe, supported and excited to learn.

Costa Rica: Renovate community centre kitchen facilities to create a safe, functional space where meals can be prepared, shared and enjoyed.

Peru: Work alongside local tradespeople and dedicated mothers to build and improve classrooms for their children.

Kenya: Help build a classroom that will give students in a rural community a better place to learn and dream.

You’ll return home with the relationships you formed, the stories you shared, and the knowledge that you helped create something lasting.

Put down the phone. Pick up a tool. Open your heart to a new community.

Last week we enjoyed a fantastic day on the course, with beautiful weather and an incredible community coming together for a shared purpose.

Nepal is a hikers paradise! Many DWC volunteers take the opportunity to extend their travels beyond the volunteer project.
