Hospice Huntsville provides care and support to individuals in the Huntsville area who are facing end of life situations.

Our Mission
To guide and provide consistent, comprehensive & compassionate
end of life care & grief support that is readily accessible to individuals, families & caregivers in the setting of their choice throughout the greater Huntsville area. This care and support is also extended to their families and caregivers and is provided in the setting of their choice. All of our programs & services are completely free of charge.

💚 A Place to Remember. A Place to Connect. A Place to Heal. 💚

Rotary People of Action Huntsville is proud to have completed a meaningful service project for Hospice Huntsville: a Wind Phone for families who have used Hospice Huntsville’s services.

From designing and building the structure to pouring the concrete pad, this project brought people together to create something truly special for families navigating grief and loss.

📞 What is a Wind Phone?

The idea began in Japan in 2010 when a man grieving the loss of his cousin placed a disconnected telephone in his garden. He used it to say the things he wished he could still share with his loved one. Following the devastating 2011 earthquake and tsunami, the idea spread as a way for people to express their grief and feel connected to those they had lost.

A Wind Phone has no working connection. Instead, it offers a quiet place to pick up the receiver, speak from the heart, share a memory or say the words left unsaid.

The Wind Phone at Hospice Huntsville will provide a private space for families who have accessed Hospice Huntsville’s services — a place for reflection, remembrance and connection.

💚 A heartfelt thank you to Brittany Evans for spearheading this project, the Rotary Club of Huntsville and Rolston's Home Building Centre for their support in helping bring this project to life. Community partnerships like these demonstrate what can happen when people come together to make a difference.

We hope this Wind Phone brings comfort to families for years to come.

Because sometimes, the most meaningful thing we can build is a place where people feel a little less alone.

Happy Feel Good Friday!

Today, we’re feeling grateful for the generosity and community spirit of the St. Mary of Assumption Huntsville Knights of Columbus Council #7851, who have donated $2,000 to Hospice Huntsville! 🎉
This wonderful gift was made possible through funds raised at their annual Roast Beef Dinner, Spaghetti Dinner, Hockey Tournament/Silent Auction.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the Knights of Columbus, their dedicated volunteers, and everyone who supported these events. Your hard work and generosity help make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families in our community who need compassionate end of life care, grief and bereavement services at no cost.

What a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish when a community comes together for a great cause!

💜 Thank You, Stephenson District Lions Club!
Happy Thankful Thursday!

We are deeply grateful to the Stephenson District Lions Club for their generous donation of $5,353 in support of Hospice Huntsville.

Thank you also to everyone who purchased tickets for the Annual Rubber Duck Race and supported the Lions in their fundraising efforts. Your enthusiasm and generosity make a huge difference!

This gift will provide 3 Days of Care to support our five residence hospice beds at Algonquin Grace as well as visiting hospice services and grief/ bereavement services in both one-to-one and group settings. Ensuring comfort, compassion, and dignity when it's needed most.
