W is for… Waterfront!!! One of the most popular spots at camp, the waterfront is the place to swim, paddle, play, and cool off on a hot summer day! Whether you're jumping off the dock, canoeing with friends, or enjoying a game by the lake, there's always fun waiting at the waterfront.

A canoe trip is about more than just paddling.
‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎
It’s about learning new skills, overcoming challenges, exploring God's creation, and discovering that you're capable of more than you thought. It's about campfires, portages, teamwork, laughter, and friendships that grow deeper with every kilometre.
‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎
Programs like Expedition invite campers to step beyond their comfort zones and experience the adventure of wilderness travel. Along the way, they'll gain confidence, create lasting memories, and have opportunities to encounter God in the beauty and stillness of the outdoors.
‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎
Some of the best lessons are learned out on lake.

At Pioneer Camp, we believe that all people are uniquely and wonderfully made in God’s image.

Our Special Needs Program was birthed out of our desire over 40 years ago to offer a fun, safe, and transformational camp experience to all young people. The result has been a powerful experience allowing all our campers, both those with exceptionalities and those typically developing, to build beautiful friendships based on mutual learning, shared experiences and joy. It has also given everyone at camp a deeper understanding of the wonderful and unique image of our God and Creator.

Please reach out to [email protected] or call our main office to get more information on our Special Needs Program.

You're invited to join us on Friday, July 3rd for our 2026 Commissioning Service at Ontario Pioneer Camp.
‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎
Instead of hosting a separate Homecoming event this year, we wanted to do something different. As we prepare for another summer of ministry, we would love to gather with parents, supporters, alumni, former staff, church partners, and friends of camp to worship, pray, and seek the Lord together for the season ahead.
‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎
Guests are welcome to arrive anytime after 4:30pm to visit camp, reconnect with friends, and take a tour of sites. Please check in at the Site Office upon arrival. Dinner will be served at Boys Camp beginning around 5:30pm.
‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎
Following dinner, we will gather for our Commissioning Service at approximately 7:00pm. The evening will include worship, a message from OPC alumnus Parker “Gap” Arnold, and a time of prayer as we commission our summer staff and entrust the months ahead to the Lord.
‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎
Each summer, hundreds of campers come to OPC to experience community, adventure, and the life-changing good news of Jesus. We would be grateful to have you join us as we pray for the staff who will serve, the campers who will attend, and the work God will do in and through this ministry.
‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎ ‎‎
We hope you'll join us. If you wish to attend, please RSVP here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/commissioning-service-tickets-1990564252263
