The Hamilton Optimist club is a community service organization dedicated to "Bringing out the best in children". The club is open to all adults.

We’ve been supporting kids in Hamilton since 1924. We are part of Optimist International, dedicated to serving the youth of Hamilton. Welcome to the page of the Optimist Club of Hamilton. We are a group of individuals from Hamilton who care about the children and youth of our community. Our members include people from every aspect of our community: business, civil service, social, educational, cultural, retirees and young people. The Optimist Club of Hamilton and Mountain Kidz Klub Pinic in the park with Santa was a great success. The children enjoyed many games, crafts, dancing with all the special visitors, Optimist Oscar, The Canadian Superman, Spider Gwen and of course Summer Santa.
Emma Brouillette was there with her special book Feelings are Friends, and DJ Fun Kidz Family Ent. supplied all the great music.

Mountain Kidz Klub and the Optimist Club of Hamilton are teaming up to host A Picnic with Santa on Saturday, July 25th 2026 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm at HAMPTON PARK, Ninth Avenue and East 44St. Hamilton. (Rain or Shine). All games are FREE. Juice, water, chips or freezies will be a $1 donation each. This is a cash event

Come and see Santa, bring a blanket, chairs, picnic lunch and enjoy the games and the afternoon.

The Optimist Club of Hamilton had a beautiful sunny day for the Coffee and Cars event at Hagerty's Garage and Social. So many very nice cars to see. Optimist Oscar was entertaining everyone. 4 raffle prizes were won, by the spectators.

Our Club celebrated Youth Appreciation, our Essay Contest winners and our Oratorical contest winner on Tuesday evening. These students were amazing. Keep up the great things you are doing.

Our Club had a fun day participating in Gourley Parks Easter Egg Hunt on April 3rd. A beautiful sunny day for crafts,games, giveaways, bottle drive, raffles and Optimist Oscar making every one smile.
