Consider GEG for your giving!
2025 was a great season at the Guelph Enabling Garden. We are so thankful for our staff, volunteers, clients and visitors for helping make the GEG such a special place.

The Guelph Enabling Garden (GEG) has teamed up with Royal City Nursery to sell gift cards to raise much needed funds for the Garden.

The details:

You can place an order through the donation page at emablinggarden.org for Royal City Nursery gift card cards in $25, $50, and $100 denominations.
The gift cards have no expiry date, and can be used towards anything at the Royal City Nursery brick and mortar location. The GEG will receive a percentage of the total sales which we will use to put towards garden projects and our Horticultural Therapy programs.

The GEG is a non-profit organization and relies on donations and grants to maintain the garden and deliver programs. Thanks for your support! Please share far and wide.

2025 was the 20th anniversary of The Guelph Enabling Garden (GEG)!

We are grateful for the staff and volunteers who dedicate so much time to this accessible therapeutic garden that now serves over 20,000 visitors, within Riverside Park, 709 Woolwich Street North, Guelph.

The GEG is a place where people of all ages and abilities can experience the joy, healing, and connections that come from gardening. It’s a space where children and youth learn, seniors find community, and people living with cognitive or physical disabilities are empowered to dig in the soil and help things grow.

But right now, the GEG's future is at risk. Rising costs and limited funding mean that we cannot keep the garden thriving without urgent community support. The GEG is a non-profit charity that relies on donations, grants, and fundraising, and your donation will help with next year’s garden volunteer coordination and our free community horticultural therapy programming.

Donations can either be coordinated by credit card through 1) Canada Helps https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/30170 or 2) by cheques mailed to the Treasurer, Guelph Enabling Garden, PO Box 15, Station Main, Guelph, ON N1H 6J6 or 3) by E Transfer to [email protected]

Thanks for your support and for helping to Plant a Dream and watch it grow….

November is Children’s Grief Awareness month. Our Hort Therapist guided families to create this stunning project that illustrates “GRIEF” with ’s preserved flowers, for a display on the first floor of the downtown branch of . This community project connected grieving people to create something beautiful and we were so deeply honoured to be part of it. The Nightingale Centre is an important resource in our community for people experiencing grief. Please check out this display and visit to write a message or donate money.

In the GEG and programs we have spent 2025 practicing co-creating and playing with nature. Often, adults feel pressure to create a saleable product, rather than experience enjoyment and meaning in the process. That pressure can be relieved if we focus on the process of playing with the natural material. If you choose the plant material that speaks to you, allow it to form into the play, the product will represent that process and you’ll probably like it. Here are some lovely fall examples of this co-creation through play!
