Join us for Nonprofit Driven Regional Connects – Halton, a day focused on data, dialogue, and connection across Halton’s nonprofit sector.

This in-person gathering will bring nonprofit leaders and community partners together to explore what the data is telling us, consider what it means for our region, and help shape what comes next.

This summer, Links2Care was pleased to participate in the Burlington Volunteer Fair hosted by Community Development Halton.

Today, we were pleased to welcome Dawn Whiting, Regional Development Advisor with the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming, to our Community Wellness Hub in Oakville to learn more about the positive impact our programs and services have on older adults.

We are grateful to the Government of Ontario for investing $24,000 through the Ontario Seniors Community Grant Program to support our Wellness Without Walls initiative.

This funding will help expand opportunities for older adults to stay active, connected, and engaged in their communities while reducing social isolation and promoting health, wellness, and independence.

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day to honour Survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never returned home, and recognize the lasting impacts of the residential school system on Indigenous Peoples, families, and communities.

It is an opportunity for all of us to listen, learn, reflect, and deepen our understanding of Canada's history and the importance of reconciliation.

We encourage our community to take time to learn more and engage in meaningful reflection.
