Year-End Statistics:
We would like to take this opportunity to clear up some confusion that has been communicated to us. While there were a couple of nights that we were operating at capacity, the vast majority of nights we were not at capacity.

However, we were still very busy: our statistics for the 2025-26 winter are:

We were open 145 out of 145 possible nights.
We had 42 different people who stayed at least one night.
We provided 952 person-nights (one person in one bed for one night).
We had an average of 6.6 guests a night.
The average stay for a guest was 22.7 nights.

Tonight is our 100th straight night of operations for this year. We are so grateful to our volunteers that we have been able to open every night so far this season.

Once again, we are open tonight. Thanks to the hard work of our more than 75 volunteers, we have been open every night this year.

We are a completely volunteer-run program. We are a Winter Overnight Refuge Program. We are not a shelter. Our hours of operation are 8:30 pm to 8 am, and that is only with suffient volunteer coverage.

We provide a warm place to sleep for members of our community's homeless population. We also provide super and breakfast.

We have a diverse group of volunteers who fill different roles. We always need new volunteers. To staff our program for one week, we need nearly 50 different shifts to be covered. There are always multiple volunteers on shift.

The shift breakdown is:
Evening 8 - 11 pm
Overnight 11 pm - 6 am
Morning 6 - 8 am.

We are also open Tuesday and Thursday evening, 6:30 -7:30 for the Knox Table meals who are staffed by our volunteers.
