Summer is one of the slowest times for food donations, but while contributions decline, the need does not. Across Halton, community food agencies continue to support families facing food insecurity every day.

Hunger Doesn’t Take A Break is a community-wide initiative supporting local food banks, meal programs, and neighbours in need across Halton.

You can help by donating food, funds, or supporting a food organization near you from May 11 to June 12. Every contribution helps keep shelves stocked and meals available for individuals and families in our community.

A huge THANK YOU to FreshCo and the Maple Leaf Cruiser Crew for helping us kick off BBQ season with an amazing event in support of Georgetown Bread Basket on Saturday May 16th! And a big shoutout to Coca Cola Canada and Bimbo Canada for generously sponsoring the drinks and buns. 👏

Despite the weather, the Georgetown community showed up with amazing spirit and made it a fantastic day. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the cause — together, we raised nearly $500 for GBB! ❤️🙌

What a fantastic way to start the season while giving back to the community. You all made it happen! 🙌

Many thanks to Georgetown Chevrolet GMC Buick for holding a special sale day on which they donated money for every test drive. The proceeds of the special sale day, along with casual Friday contributions came to a total of $1757.00 that GBB will now use in support of the hungry in our community. ❤️👏🚗
