🎊Congratulations to the Graduates of JEDI’s Advanced Indigenous Information & Communications Technologies (AIICT) Program! 🎊

On June 24, JEDI proudly celebrated the graduates of its Advanced Indigenous Information & Communications Technologies (AIICT) program at the Maqiyahtimok Centre. This achievement reflects the perseverance, dedication, and hard work demonstrated by each student throughout their studies. Reaching this important milestone is a testament to their commitment and determination, and they should be proud of all they have accomplished.

JEDI extends its heartfelt congratulations to all graduates and wishes them continued success as they move forward into their careers and pursue new opportunities. We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in their communities, workplaces, and beyond.

JEDI is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced proponents on the development, facilitation, and coordination of JEDI’s hybrid (virtual/in-class) delivery Indigenous Business Incubator program intended for youth ages 18 to 39.

JEDI seeks to open doors for Indigenous peoples in New Brunswick to access career and business opportunities. The JEDI Indigenous Business Incubator Program connects Indigenous youth entrepreneurs with the skills and resources required to advance towards market readiness.

The Business Incubator is a 12-week hybrid virtual/in-class instruction program, followed by a 10-week Aftercare program, designed for a maximum of 10 participants. Targeted business sectors for this project include, but are not limited to: Arts, Cybersecurity, Renewable Energy/Natural Resources, Tourism, and Agriculture.

Proposals are due by 5:00 p.m. AST on July 17, 2026

The IM&M+ group spent the morning volunteering at Hayes Farm, enjoying some fresh air, getting their hands dirty, and sharing plenty of good times along the way. Participants also had the opportunity to learn about gardening and gain hands-on experience while helping out around the farm.

National Indigenous Peoples Day is celebrated annually on June 21.

In recognition of the day, the JEDI office will be closed on Monday, June 22. We will reopen and resume regular business hours on Tuesday, June 23.

We encourage everyone to attend the Sitansisk Powwow in Fredericton this weekend, June 19 to 21. The Sitansisk powwow is a wonderful opportunity to connect with community, experience culture, and celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day together.

JEDI would like to congratulate the current cohort of students from the Three Trades Orientation Program on their graduation! The students explored various trainings in HVAC, carpentry, and electrical. The 8 graduates completed their 16 weeks of in-class training in Wotstak, and the students have gone forward to their placements for the next 12 weeks (3 in carpentry, 4 in HVAC and 1 in electrical).

JEDI would like to thank Wotstak First Nations and Guaranteed Tech Academy for the support towards this cohort.
