We have a new bin at the park, just waiting for your recyclable drinks containers. If there is a refund on the container please drop it in the nice pretty blue bin and ALL proceeds from the bin will go towards the upkeep of the park.
**Please DO NOT put regular garbage or p**p in this bin as it will reduce the amount we can get at the recycle centre**
Don’t forget if you wish to donate your home recyclables just let the lovely lads and lasses at the Elmsdale Recycle Centre know you wish the money to go towards Account #27 Off Leash East Hants Dog Park

A big shout out to a lovely lady called Lee in Elmsdale who has donated a big stack of p**p bags to the Park. This will help reduce some of our costs as p**p bags are becoming very expensive and we are now having to buy them.
Thank you also to Donna and her sister Nancy and the young couple whose names I did not catch, who came to help with the clean up last Saturday.
Every little helps us to keep YOUR dog park running and the support of everyone is so gratefully received.

On Sunday April 26, we are going to be at the park to empty the bins, do a p**p clear up, rehang the sponsor signs that have come down over the winter and do a general spring clean. Unfortunately the park is still too wet to move the steps etc but the lighter jobs can be accomplished.
The weather is forecast to be reasonable so if anyone is available to give us a hand, we’d be really grateful. Bring gloves and don’t wear your best clothes

The Board of the Off Leash East Hants Dog Park would like to send a big heartfelt thank you to the Municipality of East Hants for their ongoing support by way of $3000 in grants towards the insurance and maintenance of the Park.
Whilst the grants go a long way to helping us keep the Park open and free to use, with rising costs, we are likely to have a significant shortfall this year, so any fundraising efforts would be gratefully accepted as without sufficient funding we will be unable to afford the upkeep that is required to ensure it is clean, safe, maintained and open.
You can donate your recyclables at the recycle centre Account # 27 which is a quick and easy way to help us or you can e-transfer even just a few cents to [email protected] as every little helps us keep this valuable resource open.

I’ve been down to the park with Goose and although it is still wet, muddy and icy it is open to use at your own risk. The steps and ran ramp to the shelters have floated to the edge of the park and will require a team of strong bodies to move them back into place when the park has dried out a bit (or better still if anyone has some machine that would do the job please let us know)
But the park is OPEN to use at your own risk
