Members of ALERT say there may be additional victims in this case, and are asking anyone with information to call Calgary police at 403-266-1234.

“We want to assure victims that they will be heard and that their information is valuable especially when it comes to preventing the victimization of other women. said Staff Sgt. Matt Pumphrey.

“Human trafficking is a degrading practice, and ALERT is committed to holding the perpetrators accountable.”

A 35-year-old man from Lacombe, Alta., is facing various child s*x abuse charges after the suspect was referred to authorities in Alberta by the FBI.

The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) says its internet child exploitation (ICE) unit arrested the man Wednesday.

“The internet is borderless and, likewise, ICE agencies from across the globe routinely share information related to offenders with the goal of protecting children,” said ALERT Const. Mackenzie Jordan.

"We believe that occurred because of the location-sharing that was activated on that Snapchat account,"

The victims spoke with Singh over Snapchat. He made "significant threats of violence," convincing them their family members would be murdered if they didn't send pornographic pictures and videos of themselves, Church said.

"Parents should also check the settings of their children's social media accounts, to ensure, for example, they aren't sharing their location." Camillia Layne said, Project Arachnid Hotline Liaison at the Canadian Centre for Child Protection (C3P).

The 764 network, which was listed as a terrorist entity in Canada in December 2025, is described as a transnational online ecosystem of violent predators with a shared ideology, not an organized crime group with central leadership.

According to police, the 764 network targets children and teens through social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat; messaging apps such as Discord, Twitch and Telegram; along with popular online gaming platforms like Roblox, Steam and Minecraft.

“Having good digital literacy as an adult caregiver, knowing what your children are doing online, monitoring who they are engaged with, what they are doing, being actively involved, that is a huge part of risk mitigation for this environment,”

The head of a London, Ont., support centre for survivors of s*xual assault says they see parallels between last year's Hockey Canada trial and a recently filed civil lawsuit alleging gang-rape at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.

The victim, known in court documents as Jane Doe, alleges the private Ivy League university protected the seven men, now dubbed "the Cornell 7," after she came forward saying they drugged and assaulted her over several hours at a frat house in October 2024.

Canada Case:
Five players from Canada's 2018 world junior team were acquitted last year in a London courtroom on s*xual assault charges stemming from an encounter with a woman known as "E.M."

Michael McLeod, Dillon Dube, Cal Foote, Alex Formenton and Carter Hart were all later charged in 2024. At the time, current police Chief Thai Truong apologized that it took six years to lay out the charges.

💭 Sexual exploitation often begins long before a crime is reported.

It starts with attitudes that normalize disrespect, entitlement, and the belief that someone's vulnerability is an opportunity.

Prevention means changing the culture, not just reacting to the crisis.

Let's keep asking: How do we create environments where men are held accountable and where exploitation cannot thrive?
