At IslamicFamily, our counselling services take into account the role that culture, faith, family, and personal experiences play in our mental health.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, family difficulties, or simply feeling overwhelmed, our counsellors work with you to better understand what you're going through and find practical ways to cope.

Our approach is culturally sensitive and Islamically integrated, so you can receive professional mental health support without feeling like you have to set aside an important part of who you are.

IslamicFamily is recruiting board members to help us serve those in need, build lasting social impact, grow fairer finance while expand affordable housing and more, through the process of good governance.

For more than 40 years, we have served families with dignity: crisis support, help for survivors of gender-based violence, refugee settlement, prison reentry supports, and a platform for youth and community to grow. Now we are also:
🏠 Building affordable housing using a first of its kind investment fund
🫱🏾‍🫲🏿 Scaling technology that improves frontline services

We are looking for directors with experience in:
▪️Finance, accounting, audit, and investment oversight
▪️ Real estate, development, and affordable housing
▪️Islamic finance and ethical investing
▪️Governance, risk, legal, and regulatory matters
▪️ Data, technology, and responsible AI
▪️Lived experience of the communities we serve

At IslamicFamily we're blessed to have a capable team of counsellors with a diverse knowledge bases, expertise and spoken languages. They offer a mix of in person and online sessions, so that you can have face-to-face connection, or talk in the comfort and privacy of your own home.

Our team members can support you and your loved ones in navigating relationships, grief and trauma, spousal and family dynamics, nutrition and much more in an Islamic, culture, and trauma-informed way.
