Monday! Monday! Monday!

The annual challenge is back, Hazelnuts!

The Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues is challenging all Edmonton neighbourhoods to "June Bike Month" from June 1-30, 2026.

We've got a few goals ahead of us:

#1 - Get active, for our own mental and physical well-being.
#2 - Close the gap with our pesky neighbours to the north, Ritchie Community League.
#3 - Best our 2025 June Bike Month 2nd place finish.

You can help accumulate kilometers for "Hazeldean United" through both indoor and outdoor cycling. Here’s three AWESOME ways to participate in the challenge!

🚴 OPTION #1:
Join the "Hazeldean United" STRAVA group, and sync your favourite fitness tracking device to automatically upload your data: https://www.strava.com/clubs/801266

🚴 OPTION #2:
Manually submit your cycling stats into this Google Form: https://forms.gle/VE3r27yDnb2L2ks79
Don't forget your multipliers, if you are manually logging an activity that only one person was tracking on a device. For example, if there were 5 people in your family, that 3km bike ride is really worth 15km!

🚴 OPTION #3:
Email your weekly totals to [email protected] by 11:59:59pm each Sunday evening.

Let's rack up those km’s, Hazeldean!

WOW Hazeldean… what a successful day! 🌱💚

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to help keep our community beautiful during today’s clean up and plant swap. From picking up litter to sharing plants, smiles, and community spirit — today was a reminder of how amazing this neighbourhood truly is.

Special thanks to Dor's Garden Shop , Hazeldean Drug Mart , and the edmonton food bank for your generous donations and support. We couldn’t do events like this without incredible local partners stepping up for the community.

And to every volunteer, family, neighbour, and supporter who pitched in today — THANK YOU for making a difference. Hazeldean shines brighter because of you! 🌼✨
