4-H Intro Clubs Intro Clubs are a new 4-H Alberta initiative currently based in Calgary for current or new members.

Registration is through 4-H Alberta’s online registration system:

Before you start, have your child’s name, birthdate, and a parent/guardian email and phone number ready. A laptop or computer is easiest.

1. Start a guest registration.
2. Create a guest account using your child’s name and birthdate.
3. Complete your child’s profile. All fields, including consent and medical/allergy information, are required.
4. Once the profile is saved, choose your Intro Club from the available programs.

On a phone, tap the ☰ menu in the top-right corner if you don’t see the programs.

Did you know you can do 4-H right here in the city?

And it’s about so much more than you might think!

From science and technology to food, crafts, leadership, animals, photography, welding and so much more, there are so many ways to discover what 4-H has to offer, even if you don’t live on a farm or have livestock.

If this sounds like something your child would enjoy, try an Intro Club! It’s a fun, low-commitment way to get a taste of 4-H before deciding if a full 4-H year is right for your family.

And you can experience all of that at Farmfair International in Edmonton this November.

Our 2-day Farmfair Intro Club is a fun, hands-on introduction to 4-H for youth ages 9–15. No previous 4-H experience needed!

We’re heading to Farmfair International!

Our next 4-H Intro Club is a little different because we get to spend two days at Farmfair International in Edmonton!

Youth ages 9–15 will get to try out some fun hands-on 4-H activities, explore Farmfair, meet some pretty cool people (and animals!), and learn more about what 4-H is all about.

A few of the things we have planned:
🐄 Mini Highland cows
🐕 Working dogs
🤖 Robot Rodeo
🔎 Farmfair scavenger hunt
🥩 Livestock barn tour
🎤 Special guests & luncheon
🍫 And a few other surprises!

We’ll wrap up the weekend with a one hour Achievement Celebration on Sunday afternoon where families and friends are invited to join us.

Bonnyville Summer Sampler Day 2 - We met on August 25th 2026. During our business meeting we discussed options for community service. One idea we said was to pick up garbage in our community. Another idea was to make cards for people in senior homes or to raise money for charity. We learned how to make motions in a meeting and used it to decide what was in our trail mix for our snack. We decided that we would have cream soda and iced tea at our final celebration. We had a special guest come in today to teach us how to decorate cookies. The cookies that we decorated are called sugar cookies. The icing on them is called royal icing. She taught us different techniques for how to do the barn, the Clover and the sunflower. How cute are these custom DIY frame kits from Jessica Lavoie Mad Crow Creations?

Our Vermilion 4-H Intro Club members got to start their kits and took them home to finish. I had to put ours together so you could see how they turn out!

Bonnyville 4-H Intro Club members will get to make theirs next week! Can’t wait to see how they all turn out!
