2981 Strathcona Communications Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps

Good day Parents, Guardians and Cadets,

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I have been transferred from Edmonton to the Regional Cadet Support Unit in Southwestern Ontario . A new CO of 2981 RCACC will be appointed in the near future .

Going forward the interim CO and person of contact will be Lt (Navy) Jason Finkbeiner (780)-991-2435. Cadets are expected to return to training on Sept 9 at Debney Armouries.

On a personal level I want to express my absolute appreciation to those I had the pleasure to work with in Northwest for the last 11 years . From my opportunities as a Training Officer for 2551 RCACC to being a Corps Commanding Officer for 3061 RCACC and 2981 RCACC I will truly cherish the relationships I gained from all Officers, NCMs , CIs and Past Cadets of NW.

Lastly, I have to also thank those who provided me opportunities to work within NW Expedition Program and the Whitehorse Cadet Training Center . Nothing can compare to training cadets in GODs Country that being in Alberta and the Yukon.

For those cadets confused on how to get their parade boots up to standard in time for our upcoming ACR please see clip to assist you on the process.

Note: ACR is scheduled for Sat June 15th. The expectation is to have the entire boot shined and not just the toe. Boot polish and cloths can be purchased typically anywhere shoes and boots are sold including Walmart and Grocery stores.
