🇨🇦🥇World Championship success for the Collingwood Paddling Club!

Well-deserved congratulations to club members Peter Hodgson, Kelly Dory and John Millar on their outstanding performances at the 2026 Canoe Sprint Masters World Championships in Halifax!

Peter brought home an incredible four gold medals and one silver, Kelly earned gold, two silver and two bronze medals, and John captured gold in the K4 men’s 500-metre event.

Competing and succeeding on the world stage is an extraordinary achievement and a testament to the dedication, perseverance and competitive spirit of Peter, Kelly and John. Their success also speaks to the strength of the Collingwood Paddling Club and the calibre of athletes in our community.

It was a pleasure to recognize their achievements and celebrate the pride they have brought to Collingwood and Canada.

Closing the racing of the day, the youngest paddlers in the K2 U12 500m finale - pip at the last stroke for 1st, but a very strong performance. 🥈 silver medals come home today.
