Our Halloween tournament was three tournaments in one. We had Division One (8 teams), Division 2 (10 teams) and a social division with 4 teams playing a round robin.

It was a great day with lots of good bowling and some players celebrating Halloween to try and frighten opponents.
👻👹🎃

Division One results:
Winners – Terry Bradshaw, Al Bell and Laura Mounce
Second – Jake Masterson, Bridget Mastterson and Marguerite Nightingale
Third – Bill McCollam, Peter Stuart-Sheppard and Susan Dale

Division Two results:
Winners – Fred Barbieri, Vanessa Paidy and Debbie Ferrill (it was worthwhile making the trip from Ottawa)
Second- Dana Williams, Al Gourd and Chris Dinner
Third – Carl Ferguson playing with Helen and Henry Kowalski

The winners of the social tournament were Mary Salter playing with Dave and Kathleen Shirley.
Thanks to all the players, especially those travelling a distance, for making it such a good day

Will the mats be tricky or will they be a treat?👻🎃

On Saturday we are holding our first short mat bowling tournament of the season. We have 22 wicked teams in three different groups each of which will be trying to give their opponents a fright at the haunted Cobourg Community Centre. .

Teams will be flying on on their broomsticks from Niagara Falls, Lindsay, Ottawa, Kingston, Oshawa, Pickering and of course, Cobourg.

Treat yourself and come and watch and find out more about short mat bowling. It's quite tricky but still a treat!

It's nearly November and the grass is still growing! The greens crew are still working to make sure everything is done before winter.

So grateful for all their work

What a fabulous spell of weather we are having.☀😎 It's good enough to be bowling.

In other news our intrepid carpenters Andrew and Brent have completed the shelving in the games shed ready to store the club bowls there next season.

Found this on YouTube from Your TV Northumberland. Even includes a lawn bowling clip. Hasn't had many views yet.

The song was originally written and performed by Jeanette Arsenault...
