Did you know we have 18 pigeons at the farm?

We take them in from our local wildlife rescue when they are unable to be released back into the wild.

Pigeon food is actually one of the more expensive foods we purchase, and 17 of the 18 members of our pigeon crew are looking for sponsors.

You can sponsor one of our pigeons for $10/ month by visiting:

Then scroll down to “Sponsor a Chicken.” We don’t currently have a specific pigeon sponsorship tier, but we’ll be updating that option to say “Chicken/Pigeon” when we have a chance.

When you sponsor a pigeon, you’ll receive a certificate and a photo of your sponsored pigeon in the mail. It’s a wonderful way to support their care while receiving a special keepsake in return.

It’s Five Dollar Friday!

We’re getting a load of hay delivered this weekend, and the bill is $3,263.

Hay is obviously one of those expenses we simply can’t avoid, but bills like this add up quickly.

We are incredibly grateful to have so many amazing monthly sponsors supporting Charlotte’s Freedom Farm. Unfortunately, our monthly sponsorships still don’t cover our regular monthly expenses. This year, we’ve found ourselves going further into the negative each month, and that makes unexpected expenses — especially emergency vet appointments — that much more stressful.

We know times are tough and not everyone is in a position to give. But if even a few people who follow our animals have been thinking about becoming monthly sponsors, $5, $25 and $75 monthly farm sponsorship packages are available through our website:
