🖤✨ Step into history and celebrate the rich legacy of Chatham’s Black community at the Black Mecca Heritage Open House!

📅 Saturday, June 27
🕐 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
📍 W.I.S.H. Centre – 177 King St. E., Chatham

Explore Chatham’s remarkable Black heritage through interactive booths, engaging displays, and activities presented by organizations including the Josiah Henson Museum of African-Canadian History, the Buxton National Historic Site & Museum, the No Wahala African Caribbean Hub, and more!

Visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy free walk-throughs of the Chatham-Kent Black Mecca Museum and browse the gift shop throughout the event.

Come discover inspiring stories, connect with local history, and celebrate the people, places, and culture that have helped shape our community.

🎉 Taste of Chatham-Kent (TOCK) Presented to Council 🎉

We were proud to present the Taste of Chatham-Kent (TOCK) event to Council and share how this celebration continues to showcase the incredible culture, diversity, food, and community spirit that make Chatham-Kent such a special place to live and visit.

A special thank you to the Portuguese Club Youth Dancers for joining us and providing a wonderful demonstration of Portuguese culture and tradition. Their energy, talent, and enthusiasm were a fantastic addition to the presentation and a reminder of the rich multicultural heritage that helps make TOCK such a vibrant community event.

We appreciate Council's continued support and look forward to bringing residents and visitors together once again to celebrate the tastes, traditions, and talents of Chatham-Kent.
