P.A.W. Rescue helps local Chatham-Kent pets! We strive to promote compassion towards all animals. Pet and Wildlife Rescue (P.A.W.R.)

is a non-profit rescue organization operating out of Chatham-Kent Ontario. PAWR is dedicated to four primary objectives:

- Providing animal control for all of Chatham-Kent
- Re-homing local domestic animals who are homeless.
- Lowering the number of stray animals within the community.
- Ensuring orphaned and injured wildlife receive proper care, rehabilitation and reintroduction to the wild
- Educating the public and advocating on behalf of all animals.

Yesterday, Enbridge's employees volunteered to fuel our shelter dogs' future by building two new outdoor runs. These new safe zones will allow dogs to spend more time sniffing, rolling, playing and socializing under the sun!

Chai is a 9-month-old bulldog mix who is looking for a foster-to-adopt home until she can be spayed—and trust us, she's the perfect blend of sweetness and charm.

Like her namesake, Chai is equal parts comfort, warmth, and just a little bit of spice. She loves people, enjoys leisurely walks, and is always happy to soak up affection from her favourite humans. Most of the time she's calm and easygoing, but every now and then she'll surprise you with a burst of happy puppy zoomies!

Chai is ready to steep herself into a loving home where she can continue growing into the wonderful dog she's becoming. All she needs is a cozy spot to relax, a little patience, and someone willing to open their heart while she waits for her spay.

If you're looking for a brew-tiful companion who will warm your heart from day one, Chai may be your perfect cup of tea.

We’re looking for a volunteer driver to help transport two baby bunnies and a young raccoon to one of our wildlife rehabilitation partners today.

These little ones need specialized care to give them the best chance at a healthy future, and we need your help getting them there safely.

If you have some time, a vehicle, and are able to assist with this transport, please send us a message as soon as possible. Even a small act of kindness can make a huge difference for wildlife in need. ❤️

Still waiting. Still hoping. Still overlooked.

Kane and Camper have been patiently watching other dogs leave for their forever homes while they continue to wait for someone to give them a chance.

Kane is a big, goofy guy with a zest for life and enough enthusiasm to brighten any day. He loves other dogs, loves to play, and is always ready for his next adventure. His only request? A home without cats. Other than that, he's ready to be your loyal sidekick through all of life's adventures.

Then there's Camper, our distinguished gentleman. While he may be a little older, don't let that fool you—he still has plenty of gas left in the tank. Whether it's a walk, a road trip, or simply spending time with his people, Camper is always ready to come along for the ride. He has the perfect balance of wisdom, affection, and fun.

These two incredible dogs couldn't be more different, but they share one thing in common: neither has found their forever family.

They don't need dozens of applications. They just need one person to see them, believe in them, and give them the chance they deserve.

Meet Arnold!

JMove it, football head! Arnold is ready for his next adventure!

Just like his cartoon namesake, Arnold is a friendly, easygoing guy with a big heart and an even bigger love for his friends. Whether he's hanging out with people, playing with other dogs, or sharing space with cats, this sweet boy is always happy to be part of the crew.

Arnold's favorite hobbies include long walks, sniffing every interesting scent he can find, and generally having a great time wherever life takes him. If there's fun to be had, Arnold is ready to hop on board!

Like all good characters, Arnold has a little backstory. In a previous home, he did show some protective behavior toward his people around another person. We have not seen that behavior while he's been with us, but his future family should be aware of it and be prepared to set clear boundaries and household rules to help him succeed.

Arnold can also experience some anxiety from time to time, so he'll do best with patient people who can help him build confidence and feel secure. In return, you'll get a loyal companion who just wants to be loved and included.

So if you're looking for a dog who's more Arnold than Helga—sweet, fun, and always up for an adventure—this football-headed heartthrob may be your perfect match.
