Today’s Senior Hope Meals included a delicious variety of homemade favourites: turkey noodle soup, tomato beef macaroni soup, rolled lunch meat and cheese, peameal bacon and cheese sandwiches, fruit cups, and Tim Hortons tea bags! 🍲❤️

Our Senior Hope Meals program is about so much more than providing a meal. It’s about reminding our seniors that they are valued, remembered, and cared for🫶

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helps make these meals possible each week. Your kindness continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our seniors! 🥰💛

The Free Food Pantry located in Thamesville and FreeHelpCK’s Free Food Pantry located in Ridgetown were filled today!🥫

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the students, families, and staff at McNaughton Avenue Public School, we were able to help restock both pantries today!

📣 A friendly reminder to please take only 4 items per household from FreeHelpCK’s pantry so we can help as many people as possible.

A heartfelt thank you to McNaughton Avenue Public School 🫶

Year after year, the students, families, and staff at McNaughton Avenue Public School continue to show such incredible kindness and generosity towards FreeHelpCK, and we truly cannot express how much that means to us🥹💛

We are especially grateful that McNaughton Avenue Public School has made supporting FreeHelpCK through their annual food collection a tradition🥫. Knowing that your school continues to think of our organization and the people we serve year after year means more than you know. It is a kindness we never take for granted. ❤️

🙏🏻✨ Thanks to your generous donations, we are able to help keep our Free Food Pantries stocked for local seniors, families, and individuals who may be going through difficult times. Every item donated makes a meaningful difference.

A special thank you to Steve, Geri, and Cathleen for taking the time to unload, sort, and organize these donations so they can be distributed to our pantries across Chatham-Kent throughout the week✨

To everyone at McNaughton Avenue Public School, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are incredibly fortunate to have your continued support, and we hope you know just how much your generosity means to FreeHelpCK and the people we serve🙏🏻💛

We are incredibly thankful for our Harvest to Home program and the difference it continues to make! 💚

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to deliver an abundance of fresh eggplant 🍆 , several varieties of squash, pumpkins 🎃 , and jalapeño peppers 🌶️ to the Westover Treatment Centre!

Through Harvest to Home, we’re able to give perfectly good produce a purpose instead of letting it go to waste. For organizations like Westover, these donations help stretch their food budgets further while ensuring those they care for continue to have access to fresh, nutritious food.

It’s about more than saving produce. It’s about making the most of what we have, supporting local organizations, and helping ensure no one has to go without.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)📖

🙏🏻 A heartfelt thank you to the anonymous farmer who thought of FreeHelpCK and our Harvest to Home program when this produce became available. Your generosity allows us to turn what could have gone to waste into something truly meaningful for others.

We are so grateful to everyone who continues to make this wonderful program possible!✨

💙 The Heart Behind FreeHelpCK — Our Geri Ann

From 4 a.m. to often 8 p.m., Geri turns faith and compassion into action. From Senior Hope Meals and pantry fills to Birthday Boxes, the Pet Pantry and Harvest to Home, she helps keep every program moving alongside her amazing team.

When she asks for something to be done, she’s right there doing it too—carrying boxes, making deliveries and leading by example.

Her heart always asks, “How can we help?” Guided by God, her determination brings hope to others.

Geri always finds ways to thank her team. Today, we want to return that love. We see your long days, your quiet efforts and your caring heart. Thank you for leading us so faithfully. You are loved and appreciated. 💙

“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14

The Heart Behind FreeHelpCK — Our Geri Ann
Before most of us open our eyes, Geri Ann is already thinking about who needs help.
Her day begins at 4 a.m. and often continues until 8 p.m. Behind those long hours are people she cares about—a senior waiting for a meal, a family needing food, a child deserving a birthday celebration or someone worried about feeding their pet.
To Geri, every program represents a person. And every person matters.
As the founder of FreeHelpCK, she is at the centre of every program and event, working alongside the amazing team she leads to turn compassion into action.

She plans Senior Hope Meals, schedules drivers, fills pantries, arranges food pickups, purchases supplies for Birthday Boxes and the Pet Pantry, and collects and delivers produce through Harvest to Home. Between it all are emails, meetings and countless details that keep everything moving.

When Geri asks us to do something, she is right there doing it, too. She carries the boxes, makes deliveries and rolls up her sleeves beside us. She leads by example, helping her teams succeed and reminding us that every helping hand matters.

Even when she is tired or facing another challenge, her heart returns to one question: “How can we help?”

Her go-getter spirit shines brightly, guided by her faith. She trusts God with the next step and puts His love into action through the way she serves others. 🙏

Geri is also quick to appreciate her team—a lunch, a little gift, a thoughtful thank-you. She wants everyone to know their kindness is seen.

Sometimes, we become so accustomed to her being there that we forget to return that care. But a heart that gives so much needs encouragement, too.

So today, Geri, this thank-you is for you.

We see the early mornings, the long days and the quiet work behind the scenes. We see your heart, and we never want your kindness to go unappreciated.

Thank you for believing in our community, believing in your team and faithfully following God’s calling. Through your leadership and the dedication of those beside you, people are finding food, dignity, kindness and hope.

You are deeply appreciated for everything you do—and for who you are. May you feel the love you so freely give returned to you.

“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14

With love, gratitude and prayers,
Your FreeHelpCK Team 🙏
