Tonight, FreeHelpCK had the incredible honour of being presented with $72,571.00 from the 4th Annual Working the Iron in Memory of Henry Heyink Golf Tournament, in support of our FreeHelpCK’s Senior Hope Meals and Adopt A Senior programs🥹✨🙏🏻
It’s difficult to put into words what a gift of this magnitude means to us. Behind this incredible number are seniors in our community who will receive so much more than a meal or a gift. They’ll receive a visit, a familiar face at their door, a reminder that someone is thinking of them, and the comfort of knowing they haven’t been forgotten🥰❤️
While Mother Nature may have had other plans and the golfers were rained out today, it certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits! 🌧️⛳️ The afternoon was still filled with games, laughter, dinner and time spent together.
One moment that made us smile was recognizing the tournament’s oldest golfer, an incredible 85 years young! 👏 On a night dedicated to supporting programs that care for local seniors, that felt pretty special.
The Heyink family also shared a saying of Henry’s with us tonight that carries such a beautiful meaning “Up is free.” A simple saying, with a beautiful reminder✨
So much in this life comes at a cost, but the most important gift of all never does. God’s love and grace are freely given to each of us. Henry’s simple words are such a powerful reminder that no matter what life brings, God’s grace is always there 🙏🏻

What a beautiful message for Henry to leave behind, and what an incredible legacy his family, friends and community continue to carry forward in his memory.
