We are excited to have Cora sharing her testimony LIVE with us tomorrow night!
She has walked through some incredibly difficult seasons and discovered what it means to surrender, trust God, and find hope again.

Her story is a reminder that God can meet us in our darkest moments—and that He never wastes our pain.

Come hear what God has done. You won’t want to miss it.

Join us tomorrow night at Celebrate Recovery.

Today is International Overdose Awareness Day. 💜

Overdose continues to affect every community. Yet it can be prevented. We know how to reduce risk and keep people safe. By speaking openly, learning from one another, and treating each other with care and respect, we build a world where fewer lives are lost.

Here are some ways you can take action:

💜 Wear purple on August 31st to show your support.
💜 Carry a Naloxone kit and learn how to respond to an overdose.
💜 Learn more about substance use stigma and drug policy in Canada. Share what you learn with others in your circles.
💜 Use person-first, non-stigmatizing language. The words we use can help reduce stigma, show compassion and respect, and make it easier for people to reach out for support. Research shows the words we use shape the care people who use substances receive and the opportunities available to them.
💜 Plan a Compassionate Approaches training for your team/organization to learn with and from People With Lived and Living Expertise, provided by R.O.C.K.
💜 Advocate for evidence-based solutions to the drug toxicity crisis such as early prevention, voluntary treatment, harm reduction, and supportive housing.

The Hope Centre needs you. 🙏

Every day, people walk through our doors looking for a meal, a helping hand, a safe place, or simply someone who cares.

And behind everything we do are people from this community who choose to give their time. ❤️

Right now, we’re looking for more volunteers.

🍽️ Serve meals
🥫 Help in the food pantry
👕 Help in the clothing pantry
🤝 Welcome and connect with guests
💙 Or simply lend a hand wherever you’re needed

There really is something for everyone.

You don’t need to have experience. You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need a willing heart and a little time. We’ll help you find where you fit.

The Hope Centre belongs to this community. It exists because people in Chatham-Kent care about their neighbours.

So today, we’re simply asking: Can you help? ❤️

Maybe it’s a few hours a week. Maybe it’s once a month. Maybe you can help with a meal, sort clothing, greet someone at the door, or do something behind the scenes.

Whatever it looks like, your time matters.

🙌 If you’ve been thinking about volunteering, we’d love to have you join us to check things out.

Email, give us call, or sign up below as we'd love to connect!

❤️ VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! ❤️

The Chatham Community Hope Centre is looking for caring, dependable people who want to make a difference in our community.

Volunteering is more than giving your time, it’s about showing up, building connection, and helping create hope for people who are working toward a better future.

Whether you can give a few hours a week, help with events, lend a hand around the centre, or simply be someone others can count on, we’d love to have you on the team.

🙌 Your time can make a difference.
