We had a good turnout for Zone Euchre yesterday in Iroquois, with 33 teams playing. The top six teams qualify for District Euchre, being played on March 28 at Westboro Branch 480. The results are as follows:

The Royal Canadian Legion is excited to kick off its 100th anniversary by offering free membership to all new members who join in 2026. They will become part of the great legacy of an organization whose chief mission revolves around serving Veterans and their families.

“We are so proud of this organization and its members and thrilled at the prospect of welcoming new members from all parts of Canada to our ranks during our centenary year, many of whom we hope will be with us for a long time to come,” says Berkley Lawrence, Dominion President. “Among them, will be great volunteers, fresh ideas, and all of them will truly strengthen our dedicated and growing membership of over 270,000 people.”

Throughout the year, the Legion will hold special events at the national, provincial, and local levels, and will announce new projects that will mark its entry into the next century. The Legion’s official anniversary on July 17, 2026, will also be highlighted with events in Ottawa and across the country.

La Légion royale canadienne est ravie de lancer les célébrations de son 100ᵉ anniversaire en offrant une adhésion gratuite à tous les nouveaux membres qui se joindront à nous en 2026. Ce faisant, ils contribueront au formidable héritage d'une organisation dont la mission principale consiste à servir les vétérans et leurs familles.
« Nous sommes très fiers de cet organisme et de ses membres, et nous sommes ravis à l'idée d'accueillir dans nos rangs, à l’occasion de notre année du Centenaire, de nouveaux membres provenant de toutes les régions du Canada, dont beaucoup – nous l'espérons – resteront longtemps parmi nous », de confier Berkley Lawrence, président national. « Et parmi eux, assurément, il y aura d'excellents bénévoles, des idées nouvelles, et tous contribueront à renforcer notre effectif dévoué et croissant de plus de 270 000 personnes. »
