🎃 This years’ Halloween Party at our uotown location was such a fun and festive success! We loved seeing everyone come together to celebrate — especially all the kids in their creative and adorable costumes. From butterflies to brave superheroes, they truly brought the Halloween spirit to life! 👻🧡

That’s a wrap on our final RISE UP session! 🎉

We were joined by Vicki from Family and Child Education- Anglophone Southh and Kristen and Theresa fromNew Boots - Progressing Women in Trades / Nouvelles Bottess, who shared amazing presentations with our group. We also enjoyed coffee and cookies from McDonald's Canada and pizzas generously donated by Pomodori Pizzeria🍕☕🍪

A special thank you to Amanda from KickBasics Health Studio for bringing such great energy and insight to our final session — we loved having you with us! 💪

A huge thank you to Saint John the Baptist School for providing us with space, and to all of our volunteers and community partners who made this program possible. We couldn’t have done it without you! 💙

Rise Up Session #5 💙

This week’s Rise Up session was packed with learning, movement, and community support!

We were thrilled to welcome Courtney from Sophia Recovery Centre, who shared valuable insight into the continuum of substance use and the programs Sophia offers to support women in recovery. Our participants were engaged and appreciated the opportunity to learn more about local resources available in our community.

For the self-defence portion with KickBasics Health Studio, Amanda built on her previous jiu-jitsu session, helping participants strengthen their confidence and skills.

A huge thank-you to McDonald's Canada for once again donating coffee and cookies, and to Pizza Hut for providing pasta and garlic bread — your support means so much! 🍝☕🍪

We are so proud to share a photo of one of our resilient participants celebrating her one year in recovery with us. What an amazing accomplishment! 🥰

And as always, thank you to St. John the Baptist School for generously providing us with their space 💙
