🏔️🌱Calling all young adults ages 17-35!

We have a limited number of spots left for our 9-day Howl Experience in the Yukon! Join peers from across Turtle Island on this immersive land-based journey where you will engage with hands-on climate science, hike glaciated mountain landscapes, experience the midnight sun, and reflect through art and time on the land.

Spend time with local Elders, Knowledge Holders, artists, and researchers as you deepen your knowledge of climate change, reconciliACTION, community building, and personal resilience through a Two-Eyed seeing approach. From Bannock, tea, and storytelling at Kwäday Dän Kenji to language lessons, cultural centres, and conversations around Indigenous co-management of Kluane National Park, this experience is all about learning through connection with place.

The Howl Experience is hosting a national youth conference, Led By the Land: Banff Youth Gathering!

We are bringing together high school youth and educators from across Canada for a multi-day, land-based leadership experience grounded in both Indigenous and Western ways of knowing.

This isn’t your average conference - students will play an active role throughout the gathering. Each participant will take on responsibilities within the conference community, contribute to sessions, and practice leadership in real time. The goal is for youth to leave with not only inspiration, but the confidence, skills, and relationships needed to take action in their own communities.

Our Youth Advisory Council (pictured above) will play a crucial role in helping us plan and facilitate the conference. Our goal is for it to be a conference for youth, run by youth!

Applications close on June 5, 2026!
