It was wonderful connecting with the National Association of Friendship Centres — sharing in conversations around Indigenous youth, wellness, movement, and connection to the land.

We're grateful for the connection and look forward to building on this collaboration together. 🤍

NAFC CEO Jennifer Rankin met with Spirit North CEO Gary St Amand and Associate Director, Development and Government Relations James Graham to talk about their work in using sport and physical activity to help young people discover their unique strength and spirit. Their programs align with similar principles with the work of Friendship Centres centred in health, wellness, and connection to the land and inspire Indigenous youth to build brighter futures for themselves and their communities. Look forward on ways we can collaborate!

Jennifer Rankin, directrice générale de l'ANCA, a rencontré Gary St Amand, directeur général de Spirit North, et James Graham, directeur adjoint chargé du développement et des relations gouvernementales, afin de discuter de leur travail visant à utiliser le sport et l’activité physique pour aider les jeunes à découvrir leurs forces et leur esprit propres. Leurs programmes s’inscrivent dans une démarche similaire à celle des Centres d’amitié, axée sur la santé, le bien-être et le lien avec la terre, et incitent les jeunes autochtones à se construire un avenir meilleur pour eux-mêmes et leurs communautés. We're hiring a Youth Leader position in Sudbury, Espanola, or Manitoulin Island.

As a Youth Leader, you will:

Across various schools in the Okanagan, we’ve officially traded the classroom for the great outdoors. From schoolyard drills to catching air at the pumptrack, these trailblazers are showing us that the best way to learn is on two wheels.
