📣Survey now open!

Your participation in the 2026 survey helps our community measure and advocate for the sector in key areas related to economic participation and well-being, employment, volunteerism, asset identification, and more.

The 2024 Vital Signs report established a baseline understanding of the state of the charitable and non-profit sector in Campbell River. Identifying data points for both strengths and needs is key - we can't change what we don't measure.

🏁 The Final Stretch

We are incredibly close to the finish line, but to fully unlock the potential of this space, we are seeking community support to help full the remaining funding gap of $28,770.

This final piece of funding will directly cover the remaining furniture, equipment and finishing touches needed to make this an environment where our community can truly "work from The Heart."

Whether you are a local business looking to support social innovation, or an individual passionate about community impact, your support right now will bridge the gap.

📩DM us to learn how you can help complete The Heart, or to book a tour of the space!

Sharing gratitude to the incredible regional network of Community Foundations located all around Vancouver Island and the surrounding Islands!

We just wrapped up two days of gathering with 28 people from 12 foundations from around the region. We got to break in the Campbell River Community Foundation new office space on day 1, testing out our biggest group yet in our new space!

We focused on sharing information through facilitated conversations, increasing awareness of the incredible work being done by one another, and identifying opportunities for partnerships and efficiencies within our network and beyond.

Our conversations centered on 5 key areas of discussion:
1. Innovation & Future Trends
2. Governance Trends & Evolving Standards
3. Revenue Diversification
4. Operations, Systems, & Shared Services
5. Donor Stewardship & Fund Development

Thank you to June U'magalis Johnson for helping us open and close our sessions and welcoming our attendees to this territory ❤️

😍Thank you so much to the Island Coastal Economic Trust for supporting the Campbell River Community Foundation with opening our new shared professional office space, which we are calling, The Heart! The Heart is a place for people who put their heart into their work, to work from the heart of Campbell River at 302-871 Island Highway.

💝We look forward to opening the doors soon, welcoming people, sharing space and resources, and forming new relationships, partnerships, and ideas. All of these are key to advancing our organizational mission of enriching our community!

If you, your business, or someone you know is interested in "showing some love" with a donation or gift to help put the finishing touches on The Heart, we would love to hear from you!

Bringing people together 🤝

The Heart by Campbell River Community Foundation is a dynamic professional commercial co-working space that will be a centre for collaboration, innovation, and collective prosperity in the Campbell River region.

Fulfilling a need not currently met in the region, the space will support collaboration, productivity, and professional connection among nonprofits, social enterprises, remote workers, and small businesses.

The Trust is proud to be partnering on this project through an investment from the Capital and Innovation Program, in line with the Investment Priority of Entrepreneurs & Local Businesses.

🎄✨ What an amazing day at the Sayward Community Christmas Party! ✨🎄

A Note From Ann:

I collaborated with the community and along with my Neighbourhood Small Grant we had one big event. We called it the Sayward Community Christmas Party. Santa was there, there were crafts and cookies for decorating, there gingerbread houses being built, hayrides were happening, and everyone enjoyed free hotdogs, hot chocolate, chips and cupcakes!

A few fire pits were going to keep everyone warm and the weather was perfect.

Over 100 people came out to enjoy a fun afternoon. 🌭☕🔥
