🐾 Frankie’s Farm Rescue is in Need of a Few Items! 🐾

We could use a little help restocking some essentials for the animals in our care.
Donations needed:
♻️ Bottles and cans (can be returned under Frankie’s Farm Rescue at the Return-It Centre in Campbell River)
🛁 Large towels
🐰 Pellet stove pellets (used for litter)
🌾 Local or Timothy hay

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED 🚨

We just got word about a black bunny, went and saw for ourselves he was sitting at a very dangerous intersection. Sadly, Frankie’s Farm Rescue is completely full and cannot take him in right now. 💔

He is extremely friendly — likely recently dumped — and desperately needs somewhere safe to go. If anyone has even a little room in their home and heart, please reach out ASAP.

⏰ The sooner the better — his life is at risk in this location.

“I didn’t choose you — you chose me. You looked into my eyes, and I trusted you. I thought I had found my forever.

But when life got busy, when things changed, I was left behind. Please remember… your choices are not my fault. I only know how to love you, no matter what.

I’m not ‘just a pet.’ I’m family. I feel joy, fear, sadness, and love — just like you. I don’t deserve to be abandoned when things get hard. I deserve the forever home you promised me.

So before you bring me home, please do your research. Know what I need, how long I’ll live, and the care I’ll require. Because once I’m yours… I’m yours for life.

🐰 Ozzy the Bunny Update 🐰

We’ve now had little Ozzy in our care for about a month. He’s been on three different medications for his eyes, and the good news is—he now has one eye open! While it’s still cloudy, we believe he can see a little, even if it’s just shadows.

Ozzy did give us another scare when he developed a wheeze, but thanks to Dr. Veronica and some medication for a chest infection, that has now cleared up.

Through it all, Ozzy has been an absolute sweetheart—cuddly, affectionate, and never shy about giving kisses. He’s not 100% out of the woods yet, but he’s heading in the right direction. He still has at least one more vet visit ahead, and possibly more care in the future.

Ozzy Update! 🐰❤️

Our little fighter Ozzy—who came into our care with both eyes completely scabbed shut—is making amazing progress. His eyes are starting to open… and guess what? He has eyes! 👀💕

While we suspect he may have cataracts and could be mostly or fully blind due to the infection, it hasn’t slowed him down one bit. He’s hopping, exploring, and showing us every day just how resilient he is.

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated. Your kindness and support have made a world of difference for Ozzy and his recovery. 💜

BABY BUNNY UPDATE!

The little guy, who we have named him Ozzy, went to his first vet visit yesterday at Shamrock Animal Hospital. Dr Veronica skillfully removed the scabs and discharge from his eyes, flushed them out and we found….eyelids! 🥳 Swollen shut and full of infection but it’s a first step. Whether or not Ozzy has eyes in there is unknown but he’s got antibiotic eye drops for a week and then we will see what happens. He’s not out of the woods yet and we expect he will need a follow-uo vet visit but he’s doing great, eating his formula and even starting to try pellets and hay.
