Campbell River & Gold River Sexual Assault Services - SAS

Campbell River & Gold River Sexual Assault Services - SAS A collaborative partnership of agencies providing immediate support to survivors of sexual assault.

Sexual Assault Services (SAS) provides immediate assistance to survivors who have experienced sexual violence and/or sexual assault. This response program is available to individuals of all genders (men, women, transgender, non-binary, and/or gender non-conforming individuals) and of all ages. SAS provides survivors with the resources they need to support their healing. Additionally, this program

aims to educate the broader community and work towards the prevention of all sexual violence. Our specialized collaborative program offers:
- A 24-hour support line providing immediate emotional support, exploration of options, and resource information to survivors of sexual violence (all genders are welcome);
- Referrals to emergency counselling at the North Island Survivors' Healing Society (NISHS), and other community resources;
- Accompaniment to the hospital, police detachment, or court. The Sexual Assault Services program is administered by Campbell River Family Services Society and funded by the Ministry of Public Safety & Solicitor General. The SAS is provided by the following partnering agencies:

- North Island Survivors' Healing Society (NISHS)
- Campbell River & North Island Transition Society (CRNITS)
- Campbell River Family Services Society (CRFSS)

Hello Gold River folks. My name is Sasha and I have officially taken over Myra's position in the SAS program with Campbell River Family Services. I look forward to meeting community members of GR and provide services and support for those that are in need of Sexual Assault Service. I will also continue doing the Mindfulness groups on Tuesdays and continue the great work Myra has been doing in Gold River.

Okay now all that being said, I am still working in my other position here while we hire someone which makes us short staffed. This means currently my time is limited and I have to postpone the group tomorrow. Please feel free to contact me at 778-346-9334 if you have questions. Please know I will continue as per usual once we sort out staffing on our end. Keep checking back here for updates and announcements as I will post updated information here.

I appreciate your understanding and patience :)
