CB Rescue CB Rescue Foundation is a non-profit dog rescue based in Calgary, Canada. Saving Dogs Changing Lives! CB Rescue Foundation is located in Calgary, AB, CANADA.

Founded by Colin and Belinda Morrison, their passion for dogs is the driving force behind CB. Colin and Bella Morrison have a passion for all animals but a special place for dogs. They have been rescuing, fostering and volunteering with other rescues here in Calgary and internationally. They decided to start there own Non -Profit society to help abused and neglected dogs. It really happened by accident; they came across a dog that was chained for 2 years - no walks, no interaction. They approached the owner and bought the dog. This Husky is now in the best home for her, gets walks every day, spa treatments and is spoiled rotten! Colin and Belinda knew they could help other dogs. They believe every dog should have their own loving family who will exercise, provide love and take them in as a part of their family. CB does not discriminate against breed or the location of the dog. CB Rescue will take its time in finding every dog their own perfect home. We look for DOG LOVERS not just DOG OWNERS. 🎃🐾 HALLOWEEN PET PHOTOS FUNDRAISER – WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🐾🎃

📸 Come join CB Rescue Foundation on Saturday, October 24th, for some Halloween fun with your furry friends!

Dress your dog in their cutest, funniest, or spookiest Halloween costume! 👻🐶 Or come just as they are! Costumes are completely optional. ❤️

📍 Location: Plant Life Cannabis – Mahogany Plaza, Calgary

We'll be taking adorable Halloween photos of your pups, and you'll get a Polaroid picture to take home as a special keepsake! 📸🐕

❤️🐾 HAPPY ADOPTION, CARAMELO! 🐾❤️

We have some wonderful news to share! Our sweet little Caramelo has officially been adopted by Jerry! 🥰

❤️ DID YOU KNOW? ❤️

Approximately 30% of our dogs at CB Rescue Foundation are adopted by seniors!

YES, we absolutely LOVE our seniors! ❤️

We believe that age should never stand in the way of the love and companionship a dog can bring into someone’s life. Sometimes, a sweet little dog is exactly what someone needs, and sometimes, that dog needs them just as much. 🐾

And Caramelo is a perfect example!

Jerry tells us that Caramelo is the most perfect dog for her! ❤️

And we couldn’t agree more. He’s such a sweet little guy, and knowing that he’s found someone who loves and appreciates him makes everything we do worthwhile.

We are so happy that we were able to save Caramelo and give him a second chance at life. Now he gets to spend his days being loved, spoiled, and cherished by Jerry.

Happy new beginnings, Caramelo and Jerry! ❤️

Velma!

❤️ MEET VELMA – A LITTLE GIRL LOOKING FOR A PATIENT, LOVING HOME! ❤️

Sweet little Velma is approximately 1 to 1½ years old and weighs around 7–8 pounds.

Velma is a special little girl who has come a long way, but she still has some learning and trusting to do.

We believe Velma may have come from a hoarding situation where she had very little human interaction. So we have to remember that the world can be a pretty scary place when you haven’t experienced much kindness or human contact.

But she’s making progress, and that’s what matters! ❤️

Velma absolutely LOVES her toys! And we’re starting to see more of her sweet little personality come out.

She’s now comfortable enough to climb up on her foster mom Lori’s couch, and Lori can even pet her when she’s snuggled underneath a blanket. She also sleeps on Lori’s bed, tucked right under the covers!

These might seem like little things, but for a dog like Velma, they’re HUGE accomplishments!

What kind of home does Velma need?

🐾 A quiet, calm home with no children. Too much activity, noise, and excitement can be overwhelming for her.

🐾 A confident, preferably smaller dog already in the home. We feel another confident dog will help Velma continue building her confidence and learning to trust.

🐾 Someone with patience, understanding, and absolutely no expectations that she’s going to be a perfectly adjusted dog overnight.

🐾 A family willing to work on leash training. Velma isn’t ready for walks just yet, and that’s something that will take time.

Velma doesn’t need someone who’s going to rush her or push her into situations she’s not comfortable with.

She needs someone who will let her be Velma and allow her to blossom at her own pace.

We are so proud of how far this little girl has come, and we know that with the right family, she’s going to continue making progress.

Sometimes the dogs who need the most patience are the ones who make the biggest impression on our hearts. ❤️

🐾 Why do I always teach hand commands along with verbal commands?

It’s actually very simple!

As our dogs get older, they can lose their hearing or become hard of hearing. If they’ve already learned hand commands, they can still understand exactly what we’re asking them to do.

And you never know what life might throw at you! What if you’re ever in a situation where you can’t speak or your dog can’t hear you? Those hand signals can make all the difference.

That’s why I’ve always believed in teaching both verbal commands and hand signals together.

It’s such a simple thing to teach, but it can be incredibly valuable later in life.

And speaking of training, look at little Linda! ❤️🐾

She’s doing so well, learning quickly, and making wonderful progress. At this rate, she’s going to be ready for her forever family in no time!

A little training today can make a lifetime of difference. ❤️

❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU FROM CB RESCUE FOUNDATION! ❤️
We would like to take a moment to personally thank some very special people who stepped up to help Maya, the little pup in Mexico who needed emergency surgery after being viciously attacked by another dog.

Together, we raised $805! ❤️

Every single cent of that money is going directly to the rescue in Mexico, and I am happy to say that the funds have already been sent!

Something you may or may not know about CB Rescue is that we don’t just help the dogs within our own rescue. Over the years, we have built relationships with rescues in many different countries, and when there is a need, we do our very best to help.

Sometimes that means providing supplies, helping with medical expenses, supporting spay and neuter programs, or simply stepping up when another rescue is struggling.

We were asked to help this little girl, and thanks to all of you, we were able to make a difference.
