Canyon Meadows Community Association The Canyon Meadows Community Association is a volunteer run not for profit community organization.

Canyon Meadows Community Association was established 40 years ago and over those years as the community grew, so did we. We now have two halls, a fully outfitted kitchen, a lower meeting room, two ice rinks & heated rink room. Our goal is to serve our community and we welcome suggestions from our members to help us keep up-to-date on the needs of residents.

The garden is continuing to take shape 🌱
If you’ve got an hour or two, come lend a hand as we prepare the space for our future Rain Garden, Sensory Garden, and Food Forest.

This week’s focus:
• Refining the edge of the pathway through the Food Forest
• Refining flower bed borders
• Removing spreaders from the Rain Garden (interested in a native rose bush or Manitoba maple? They need a new home, but be warned... they like to spread!) 🌿
• Transplanting perennials

We’ve got tools on hand, but gloves are always encouraged 🧤

The Disc Golf Launch was definitely a highlight of my week! 🥏🎉

A huge thank you to the Federation of Calgary Communities, U of C Urban Studies students, James Koizumi of Disc Golf Calgary (for the impromptu disc golf lesson and for helping bring this project from idea to reality), The City of Calgary, Canyon Meadows volunteers, the disc golf-themed cake was a hit!

Since the course was installed in November 2025, it has seen a steady stream of players enjoying the park and trying out the sport.

Want to give it a try? We have two sets of three discs available to borrow!

• $5 for non-members
• $30 credit card pre-authorization (or similar) required

Don't have disc golf discs? Regular frisbees work too!

Looking for a fun, easy way for your family to earn some extra money? Maven Media Group, a local Calgary video production agency, is building a roster of local families and individuals for upcoming paid lifestyle photo and video shoots for a local developer.
The Details:
• Pay: $75/hour per person for a 2-hour commitment. (e.g., a family of 4 earns $600 for a 2-hour shoot).
